CSCS June 24th 2018.

A wet day over at TMP made for some pretty extra slide-y conditions on the track. Riley Sexsmith killed his qualifying laps and we had high hopes for his advancement. Unfortunately, we had some bad luck with the lower control arm and he was no longer able to compete. This custom made control arm lasted through 4 years of aggressive driving, making this quite the solid piece. We are planning to get her all fixed up and be ready for battle in July.

Getting the 2JZ Subaru STI ready to go!

Just last weekend, the STI was packed up and ready to compete at Gridlife, but unfortunately came to an end quickly. Though we had hoped after cleaning the engine and the inside of the heads that the engine would be solid for the car, it ended with no oil pressure, seized bearings and ultimately a no good engine. Below you can see the culprit.

With little time to spare to prepare for upcoming drift events, the team is prepping the STI for a stock 2JZ engine, opposed to rebuilding. This is going to get us “back on track” and ready to go. You can see the empty engine bay, and all the things ready to get back in.
