his digits were jumping over the buttons of a ps5 controller, the male’s attention was fully dedicated to the huge tv screen when he heard a loud banging on the door. for some reason, kato had an idea of who it might’ve been. “shit.” he growled under his breath, the level of annoyance reaching it’s pick since he had to pause his game. tossing the controller over the massive couch, kato went to open the door to get over with the nonsense. he guessed it right though, it was layla standing there with a furious expression over her face, which she poorly tried to fake with a blank, yet sassy grimace.
“hallelu, turns out this motherfucker ain’t deaf at all.” layla smacked her lips, referring to all the ignored phone calls.
“wha’cha want?” kato questioned without any emotions nor interest.
“first of all, i’m not gonna stand here. move.” layla pushed past nahkato and walked inside of his penthouse. kato rolled his eyes to the back of his head as he let out a heavy puff and closed the door.
“yea, be my guest i guess.” he mumbles before turning around to face layla, who was standing there with her hands folded over her chest.
“so?” she questions, her intense stare made kato feel like she trying to do an impression of eleven from stranger things.
“so what? the fuck ya want?” wick remained calm for his own sake, the female in front of him knew damn well how to get on his nerves, and while standing face to face he kept wondering why he was dating her in the first place.
“excuse me? am i a joke to ya? ya ain’t picking a phone up like i’m nobody to you!” layla went off, as she spoke kato’s tongue was itching to confirm that she’s actually nobody to him. “ya playing games with me, lil boy, ya dumped me without any explanation but guess what? i already know why the fuck ya did it.” layla let out a victorious cackle once she saw kato’s brow climbing up in a question. “yeah, you heard me right! i know why!” layla repeated herself, highlighting the same sentence once again, awaiting for kato to respond and explain himself, hoping he would come up with an excuse nor apology. instead, nahkato remained mute, his stare questioning her sanity. he was curious to hear what else she was going to say, plus, kato knew her damn well, and him not getting into an argument with her would piss layla off. “hello? can ya hear me? guess what, i’m standing right in front of ya so ya can’t ignore me no more!” layla stepped closer to nahkato and poked his bare chest with her stiletto nail. “ya owe me an explanation and apology!” she demanded when kato swatted her hand away from his chest.
“explanation and apology for what?” he questioned and layla’s jaw dropped, the audacity!
“come again? what do you mean what for? why the fuck ya broke up with me, and for making me look stupid!” she now yelled before laughing darkly. “oh wait, if you are not man enough to say it yourself, i can help you out babyboy. i know you broke up with me because of that bitch azenè! i know you’ve been fucking her behind my back! her pictures in your phone, and that hoe dropping her little song today? everything is adding up now! i even messaged her and dumb slut had a nerve to ignore me like ya lame ass did, and then she felt entitled enough to shade me via twitter when i was nothing but respectful to her!” while layla was spitting her monologue in kato’s face, he had to do his best to even understand what the fuck she meant. a song? today was a day when kato didn’t check on anything music or social media wise. he was definitely going to do so once he will be done with layla. but a few things that layla said almost pushed kato to lose his cool.
“ya want some truth? ight. i broke up wit’ ya ‘cause we’ve been done for a while already. ya just needed all dat cash and i didn’t want ya, nor ya wanted me. that’s what ya was trynna hear? here ya go then.” nahkato shrugged while witnessing layla’s face changing, turning into a raged expression of a gargoyle.
“ya must’ve lost your mind!” she yelled before slapping the male across his face. once her palm connected with his cheek, kato froze for a second. not due to a unpleasant surprise nor pain; he just needed to gain self control to prevent from breaking layla’s neck. meanwhile, she kept yelling. “you son of a bitch! how could you say that right in my face? you can’t even be honest and say you’ve been fucking on that bitch, it’s her fucking fault!” as if she tried to put those words into kato’s head, she slapped him one more time. “yes we’ve been on and off but i was the best thing that has ever happened to you! it’s that whore who made you do me like this!” layla rose her hand one more time, yet it remained in the air. kato clenched tightly over her wrist before ramming her hand down with a strength then throwing her arm away.
“touch me one more time, layla...” he warned her, but looks like layla got it the wrong way. she put her both hands into work, scratching and slapping over kato’s face while yoddeling in rage.
“ya can’t do this shit to me, you bitch! just admit ya fucking her! ya can’t break up with me, i know way too much about ya and your shit, i swear imma expose it all if you gonna break up with me! i swear imma fuck her up, i-... let me go!!!” layla yelps once kato’s hand grabs onto her hair. with a forceful yank, nahkato wraps her long bundles over his wrist, dragging the female closer to himself. she kept throwing blows at him, although once his death like cold voice rung in her ears, layla stopped moving and froze immediately.
“now listen here. who i’m fucking and who i’m not fucking is not your fucking business. i don’t owe ya shit. but let me tell ya what the fuck gonna happen if you’ll get close to ‘zenè again, or if ya decide to run ya mouth about my shit...” he pulled on her hair some more, causing her to cry in a plead to let her go. “if ya gon’ try to do any of that shit, imma take down ya whole family. one by one. ya mami, papa, ya brothers and ya sister. imma make ya watch, and then, ya gonna be next.” kato smirks darkly, the demon in him was finally free and layla knew it. the way he spoke, the way his dark eyes gleamed, she knew he wasn’t playing. “did you hear me?” he questioned calmly and layla nodded, the nod caused more pain to her scalp. “good. i’m sorry i ain’t said ion love ya in ya face, but ya already knew. get outta my face.” kato released layla’s hair from the hold and opened the door. not wasting any second, layla stormed out and rushed away from kato’s place as fast as she could.
kato closed the door and stood there for a second while leaning his back against the wall. it took him some time to get back to his normal self, and once he did, he pulled his phone out to listen to the song layla was talking about. more of his sanity got back to him as he listened to the soft voice, and without him even noticing it, he went to change his outfit before heading out of his apartment.
