I was curious , do you have any tips for a being that wants to get into streaming but also be open about being RQ ? :0
the first place to start is finding where to stream that won't ban you:
what i do is self host my own stream software, that way i don't have to worry about getting banned. but i realize that that's not something a lot of folks have the ability to do. if you can, then that's what i'd recommend. rent a VPS, install docker, install owncast through docker, get a domain name, and then set everything up
if you're not technical, fstube.net is a website made for MAPs to upload videos and such. it runs on peertube, which is an activitypub enabled video platform. it seems like fstube also allows livestreaming. so you could sign up for fstube and stream on there. i've never tried it though so i have no idea how well it works
if that's not your style, there are other, less conventional, ways you could stream without worrying about getting banned. you could do it over something like jitsi (though jitsi has terrible performance), do it in discord servers (though i hate to recommend discord, i know people still use it), or even do it over signal and share a call link with others so they can watch. i believe i've heard of people doing livestreams on matrix as well
finally, you could try twitch or something, and if you get banned just make a new account. probably not the best option but it might be a good way to get a small following before you get banned and then you can bring those followers to wherever you decide to stream next, if not twitch.
i've also heard of pomf, but i hear they're anti-map lolicons
after that, OBS is a pretty easy install. if you want to stream with your face you can get a webcam, if not you could do vtubing (which also requires a webcam but you wouldn't be showing your face to the world). i believe i used vroid studio when i did vtubing a few times. for the equipment i just bought one of the cheaper webcams at best buy. and for my microphone i bought one of the cheaper ones at walmart. if you care about lighting then a ringlight is a good purchase. i also bought that at best buy. but you don't need all this to stream, you can use your laptop webcam, headset microphone, etc.
streaming is a long process, it takes a while to learn how everything works and to get fans. don't stress on making everything perfect from the first stream, just get things how you want, and over time make improvements.
it's probably also a good idea to get dedicated stream mods, as you may get trolls
i also recommend being predictable with your streams. if you just stream whenever you want then people may not be able to make the time to watch, but if you stick to a schedule then your followers will know when to prepare for watching your stream
it may also be a good idea to create some shortcuts to quick end stream in case things go south. i have OBS set up so that when i press ctrl+esc it automatically ends the stream, and it has a delay of 10 seconds so that anything in those 10 seconds get deleted. i haven't had to use this yet but it's there in case i accidentally say something i shouldn't
and if you're saving VODs/archives it's probably for the best to not include chat in that archive, just cuz sometimes folks say things that probably shouldn't exist on the internet forever -.-
hope this helps! streaming is a lot of fun. it puts you in the spotlight live on air, which can make you a bit nervous, but your audience grows slowly, and as it does you get used to it.
