the first time her friend asked, she replied with an immediate ‘no’ without thinking. even if she had thought about it, her initial thought would be the same. she liked most crowds, and mostly everyone who show up to to clubs came to drink and get hammered, and she hates loud drunks. hyojin would only drink when she’s in the comfort of her dorm room, or somewhere quiet where she can drink in peace. plus, she can handle her liquor well, and if she gets mindlessly drunk, she’s still the same quiet person and probably will fall asleep. the second time she’s been asked, she said no again, third time, still no. her friend is particularly begging her to come with her at some point, and after some annoying whining she finally agrees, under one condition that she stays by hyojin’s side the entire time, her friend approved with every intention to run off with someone as soon as the badly lit club becomes even dimmer.

which is why she’s sitting on a stool with an untouched cheeseburger in front of her. one of the few reasons she agreed to come was because she heard the club’s food was great, but as soon as the stench of alcohol hit her nose, she lost her appetite. the drunk man sitting next her was also a reason for her appetite loss. apparently, ‘he spotted her and decided he wants her tonight.’ his words not hers. hyojin tried rejecting him politely, but he kept on insisting that she’d ‘have the time of her life with him’.  what she despises more than loud drunks is annoying, insistent and persistent people. to top it all of, the dude was also a loud drunk.  the man continued to pester her to come with home, and honestly speaking hyojin was on a the verge of beating his ass he wouldn’t be able to walk for weeks, oh the temptation. her eyes wonder around the place in search of her friend, but her eyes lied on a different person. she has seen the male around in nexus a few times but they never talked before, still she tried to lock eyes with him, and once he looked at her, she glanced at the man next her- hes still pestering her- as if to send an SOS signal. not for herself, but for the guy. because if he continues she’s pretty sure she might commit a murder.

hyojin doesn’t remember the last time she had ever cried, not because she’s trying to seem cool or anything, she just hasn’t genuinely felt the need to cry ever since her escape from her abusive family. she felt like she wasted all her tears there. but she’s proved wrong when a set of fresh tears fall from her eyes silently. she never felt so much under stress to the point where she’d show her vulnerability and cry. just thinking about the fact that she’s crying makes her chest tighten and her eyes water, emotions that she’d kept silent for years and years spurred into action all at once, leaving her more than ever overwhelmed and her eyes even more watery. stress, frustration, anger, disappointment, anxiety, and much more. she quickly ran into a closed corner so she doesn’t spot anyone’s attention and they experience her public moment of weakness, she slinked against the wall, hugging her knees and burying her face into them, her eyes still streaming with fresh hot tears, her face red.

every thing she did these past weeks turned to shit, including her training. she even has been told that she seemed occupied during fight lessons, but it was something came naturally to her and she couldn’t help it. she couldn’t fight properly and it was threatening her points to fall. they were so many things running through her mind that she felt like she was suffocating every waking moment. other than her training, basically everything else she does is followed by regrets, and more regrets. she was complementing quitting all together.

perhaps it was the fact that kept on trying to calm herself so savagely by taking short deep breaths every second that who ever is next to her right now has found her. she quickly tried to rub her tears away.

If Hyojin ever actually catches on to Dahee trying to manipulate her energy levels there was a good chance it would end in a fight.  Actually she was certain it would.  And while she understood that her roommate didn’t want to put strain on her that really wasn’t going to stop Dahee.  Like ever.  If anything it encouraged her to be sneakier and sneakier.  One of these days she swore it wasn’t going to make her as tired as it did.  Dahee glances at the discarded cigarette and contemplates scolding the other for a moment but decides against it.  As far as health is concerned she couldn’t keep the other from everything even if sometimes she wanted to.

At her teasing, Dahee places a hand to her chest and fakes being affronted again.  Perhaps she shouldn’t have told Hyojin about her high school escapades.  This is what late night talks get her.  “I mean it is a pretty great face.”  She plays along, even if she doesn’t believe it that much.  She nods in agreement and looks up at the sky.  “I swear they’re like cheap sunglasses, you can never fully get rid of shady ass dudes.  Someone in this institute needs to come up with fuckboy repellent.”  She almost wishes that she had stopped to actually get a picture of it.  Although it probably would have made her seem to obvious, it probably would have been worth it.

sometimes she flat out refused to be healed, other times she felt indifferent. she usually reaches the level of refusal when her wounds are too big for dahee to heal, or too small for the other to bother herself about. ‘small’ also meant her energy levels, speaking of- she peeked from her cup to stare at Dahee, trying to figure out whether the other using her powers or not. other people might take whatever her friend is trying to do as a compliment, but she doesn’t (or perhaps a little?- she hasn’t really thought about it), but also doesn’t see it as insult, not really. she’d be angry when she specifically tells her not to bother, but finds out she goes against her words. wounds heal through days, she’s patient, she can wait for them to heal themselves. 

hyojin laughs, holding her cup and taking a sip here and there. a thing about dahee is that she slips out secrets late at night. maybe not really a secret secret, but stuff like embarrassing situations, like a few nights ago when she told her about her past boyfriends. ‘seriously, if i was a dude i might go i’d go complete fuckboy you for you too,’  she jokes further, a snort following her words. perhaps her hatred for fuckboys was fueled by that fact that she despises sexual activity. although she hates engaging in them herself, she has nothing on anyone wanting to, except when its someone wanting to do it with her, and being a annoying persistent dick about it. ‘what a brilliant idea,’ she sips her coffee, finishing it the last of it. ‘i think kicking their shins before they even start would be a great repellent method.’

hi loves! i’m finally done with hyojin’s full biography + personality and plot pages! really late i know i know. anyways, since im done with all of that, like this post and if we’re not yet plotting, i’ll come running into ur ims to plot together! one last thing, i'll probably be unable to reply to any threads tomorrow since i'll be out all day, but i can still message y'all back on my phone~

With the way the other perks up, Dahee is actually proud of herself.  She thought the scone would be a good idea, but the affirmation is highly appreciated.  Especially since she knew the other wasn’t too keen on her healing her injuries all the time.  Speaking of–Dahee glances over at the other’s exhausted form, squinting her eyes slightly and lowers her exhaustion levels but only just so the other won’t notice.  “You’re welcome, woulda gotten two but ehh.”  Meaning she was feeling a little too stingy at the moment but that shouldn’t come as a surprise.  

The mention of past flings almost makes Dahee spit out her coffee as she snorts back a laugh.  “I don’t have that many!”  She replies, indignant but hardly offended.  “And technically it wasn’t a past fling.  Remember that dude bro that kept asking for your number then asked for mine?  Apparently he goes here.”  She pauses to take a sip of her coffee.  “May or may not have tripped him on the way out.”  Dahee adds with a pleased little smirk.

a sugar rush and actual energy are two different things, she knows, but one was pleasing, both emotionally and physically. and the other was is next to impossible to conserve with her type of power which needed lots of it. Hyojin also knows about Dahee’s abilities, both her powers and the side effects, besides the fact that there’s always something in the back of her mind telling her to only depend on herself, she would never prioritize her health other her friend’s. she’s aware that the girl can take a lot, but combine those two together, plus her stubborn personality, she wouldn’t ask for healing unless the other insisted, or maybe if she was close to death. she’d have to think about it when the time comes.

pushing the thoughts aside, she brings her legs up and hugs them to her arms. Hyojin gives Dahee a look, sipping the drink in her hands. ‘are you sure? cause with that face, whoa.’ she teases, winking at her. her expression changes into mild disgust as soon as the male is mentioned, the memory replaying in her head. ‘ugh, i may have to pray to every god and goddess tonight so i never meet him again. man was he annoying,’ she shakes her head, snorting at the last part. ‘i bet he’s feeling lucky he got to be tripped by you.’

Her hair whips wildly behind her as Dahee runs through the halls carrying two cups of piping hot beverages from the café on campus.  She doesn’t like to go there too often in order to save money but she figures once or twice a week isn’t too bad.  Besides that, her roommate’s suggestion of coffee at the courtyard before they had to venture to late afternoon classes was too tempting to pass up.  Especially after she showed up to their dorm far too beat up for Dahee’s liking for the third time that week.  She swears that girl is trying to drive her to an early grave.

Slowly to a casual walk as soon as she steps onto the courtyard, Dahee spots Hyojin lounging in the shade.  One corner of her lips curves upwards slightly into a smile as she casually moves towards her friend.  “Hey,” she greets with a small nod and plops down next to the other.  “Your drink,” she hands the appropriate beverage to the other and holds up the bag, “and a scone for later.”  Dahee takes a sip of her own drink, a large black coffee.  “And you will not fucking believe who I ran into at the café either.”  Who doesn’t love throwing a little shade in the early afternoon?  At least, that’s Dahee’s thoughts on the matter.

Hyojin glances her friend incoming, dropping her cigarette and crushing it with her foot. she figured the other wouldn’t like the smell early on the day, or ever on the matter. Hyojin spent her day knife fighting, she constantly needed to refresh vital memories so they stick on with her. of course, the institute offered medical care and all, but it was just an old habit of her’s, not tending to wounds. they’ll go away soon, she’d think. that being said, the day is still not over. only midday and she already exhausted most of her energy jumping around with a small knife. She suggested they go together, but Dahee insisted she stay here and rest. no resistance from her side.

Hyojin nods at her, with a small ‘hey’ echoed back. taking the espresso, she brings it to her lips and pulls back with a grateful sigh after a long sip, the hotness of the beverage stinging her tongue slightly. ‘i almost already feel energetic,’ another sigh. hyojin perks up at the mention of a scone. ‘damn, my sweet tooth is tingling.’ sitting back, she takes another long sip. ‘let me guess, past fling? or a stalker? you probably get those a lot.’ she says jokingly, a chuckle following her words.
