the sound of the buzzer was addicting. the way in which the bright red and blue colors that lined the screen would light up in a ripple whenever she whacked three in a row was sort of exhilarating. it encouraged her to play longer, and with much more urgency with each thirty second round. it was hard to feel sorry for her company when hyper concentration focused primarily on the mechanic moles popping up from holes, and how fast she could swing her arm to hit them before they disappeared again. in her defense, sheâd never seen a game like this up close. lived only through the experiences of others; she canât be blamed for wanting an experience of her own. when time ran out, and wallet revealed itself to be deprived of coins she turned towards the other. sweet smile placed on lips as hands began fidgeting with hands nervously. â  weâve been standing here for awhile right..?  â her questioned left her lips softly, and with innocent apology. â  i know, i know⊠which is why iâm making a proposition! â- give me enough to play one more time.. no â two? no, one! one more time , i promise. and iâll treat you, okay?  â
It's hard to explain how he can be talked into doing things when Dove is the one asking. She's cute, fine, but can that be a plausible argument that he can actually use when explaining why he can't say no to her? None of his coworkers understands and even more so when he explains that she is a friend and no, he isn't trying to "impress her" like one suggested. Impressing for what?
It's a week day, the best days for game arcades that are usually filled with people on weekends. That also means Junhyung should have been working albeit he isn't. Instead, he is leaning against the 'whack-a-mole' machine, both arms crossed, occasionally jumping with the sound of (way too powerful) whacks on poor moles lined in a row. Where does she get so much energy from? He wish he knew himself. He looks at his wristwatch and thinks he would have been making cappuccinos and elaborate lattes if his aunt didn't die. He can still hear his boss and the 'didn't she die last month?' because that's what happens when he is dragged to play with the girl in front of him, his family starts dying. 'my father has seven sisters' he'd argue, blatantly a lie, of course, his only sister is very much alive and well. He just needs to kill the other six before he moves on to the uncles.
He frowns at the girl who actually bargains with him by going cute and then fidgety. That's the face he'd like to show his coworkers and people in general who don't believe him when he says he can't say no to that. He grumbles, of course, it wouldn't be him if he didn't because he can't do things without complaining first. "Aren't you tired? Doesn't your arm hurt yet?" he knows the answers to those questions even if he still utters them and yet, he does so while shoving his hand in his jeans pocket. "I don't think I have coins" he says before the clear clinging of metal inside his pocket. he pulls his hand and, of course, a coin comes out but he doesn't hide it. Instead, he gives it to the girl rather because she asked and not because he is seduced by the promise of food. He is way too easy and even he knows that.
