{★}—There, in his palm, was the wedding ring he was going to give to Queenie. Well, he had a more elaborate plan of “giving” it to her, which consisted of dinner, seeing one of those flicks downtown, and then standing upon one knee and proposing to her. Of course, he would try his damn best to keep this a surprise, given how his gal read minds as easily as she could read the cover of a magazine.

The trick was how was he supposed to keep this a secret for the entire night? Of course, he had asked Tina, and while she had been very happy with the idea of Jacob being with Queenie in a loving marriage, it was not a legal affair, and he understood her worry. Still, he had inquired, and she had told him to simply “block her out.” Think of anything and everything that had nothing to do with the proposal.

Now, as Jacob tugged at his tie, he wasn’t sure how to do such a task. However, he would simply had to try, as to not to spoil the surprise. Brushing off his vest, he glanced at the mirror, liked what he saw, turned heel, and left his apartment for the Goldstein’s place.

{★}—Jacob wondered if the pretty blonde lady with the bouncing curls and the bright smile would return to his bakery. It seemed to be a routine for her: she would come back his bakery, take a few pastries, and bid him goodbye with a kind smile and sparkling eyes. For some reason, every time he saw her, he thought he had seen her before.

Not last week before, or the week before that, but long ago. There were thoughts that came to the forefront of his mind--images of her with a stick in her hand making him food, and talking to him. There were others too, but it was rather blurry.

Still, he thought about her as he cleaned the counters of his bakery. The busy moment of breakfast and lunch had gone by, and people were now probably heading home after a long day’s of work. Perhaps he could start putting some of the baked goods away early.

The bell tinkles again. Jacob looks up and is thunderstruck all over again: It’s Queenie. They stare at each other, Queenie beams, radiant. Jacob, quizzical and totally enchanted.

Percival gave a slight nod. “Glad to see you came out relatively unscathed.” He’d been lucky enough to come out in one piece as well but he knew plenty who hadn’t. The war had been a terrible thing and he couldn’t say it was NECESSARY but in the end the fighting needed to be done. He was simply glad that America had held off with their involvement until later. Perhaps it was selfish but he wasn’t sure if he would’ve survived any more than he had experienced overseas in the year and a half he was there.

“Maybe.” He didn’t feel strong. He had before. But these days it seemed most of the time he just felt weak. Percival had been told that it would take time for him to get back on his feet again, to ADJUST to his new circumstances. He simply wasn’t as patient as he used to be, he supposed. “Well, I appreciate the offer regardless.”

Jacob offered him a smile that could light up a room. However, the real reason why he had came down to MACUSA was nagging at the back of his mind, and he reached up to scratch the back of his neck. Bending down, he took the handle of his suitcase and lifted it up to come and rest on his right side, rather than under the chair where he had it prior.

The thing is, a lot of [Newt Scamander’s] creatures had sort of luminescent color, and I wanted him to have a sense of being one with them, but not standing out, like he’s in some neon outfit in the middle of the street. I came to this blue with a lot of green in it, and it has a little bit of brown undertones. It’s an interesting blue because in different light, it photographs differently. I didn’t want it to pop too much, and I played with it a little bit.

We played with the shape of it a lot, that coat, because Eddie Redmayne squats down on his case a lot, does a lot of up and down movement and he has a sideways gait to him that he evolved for Newt. It’s almost like an animal walk, in a way. I really wanted something that served him, too, and we did a lot of rehearsals with it to make sure it all worked for him, with his acting. Colleen Atwood

His fork scrapped against the plate as he turned back down to take a bite of his eggs. It was early in the morning--extremely early in the morning, and within an hour’s time he would have to open his bakery. Some of the breads and baked goods were all ready in the ovens, and within a few moments time he would have to take them out to cool.

“Maybe after work? It’s Monday, so it’s gunna be busy for me, but I still wanna see ‘em.”

The Occamy moves slowly down toward Newt and Dougal the Demiguise, which again offers up a sweet. Newt remains very still. Dougal, whose eyes flash a brilliant blue, a sign that it’s having a premonition.
