The boy gave a shake of his head, sniffling a bit, a tear rolling down his cheek. It was quickly wiped away as the snake looked back to Erik.
“N-no… Well, he tried to send me back home when I first got here, but he was nice after that… Reese-prince said that Dri-prince hurts people, though, and that I’ve just been lucky…” He sighed, brows furrowing in confusion. He still felt lightheaded from losing so much blood, and strangely tired. Exhausted, the child closed his eyes, scooting ever so slightly closer to the tall human that sat on the edge of the bed.
{ ❣ } -- Erik let out a soft breath when the boy explained the situation. He understood people snapped sometimes, he just really hoped it wouldn’t be a common thing. His gaze followed as the boy shifted slightly closer to him before moving to sit on the bed properly, gently pulling the boy closer to his body and rubbing his arm delicately.
“Go ahead and get some sleep... You look exhausted. I’ll be right by your side the entire time, okay? Just try and relax.”
