Welcome to the idyllic town of Addersfield, located on History Island in Auradon, home of Illedale University.
Students here are children of some rather famous faces. And some have made fame in their own right, like King Ben or the Lady Mal. We’re proud to boast a diverse student culture and a rich history–
[–and that’s enough of THAT broadcast! Is this thing on? Hello? Can you hear me?
Good. I’ll warn ya right now, everybody– if you thought Auradon Prep was wild, you ain’t seen nothing yet! Illedale is bigger, meaner, and with the past not so distant to us, tensions can run pretty high around here.
‘Course, you probably know the story by now. When preparing for his coronation, King Ben declared his first royal proclamation to allow over 4 VKs from the Isle of the Lost to come to the city. After a whole showdown about good and evil, the four integrated into Auradon society pretty well, and then after drama at Cotillion, Mowgli rallied the Auradon people to fight for the disbandment of the Isle, sending the villains to rehab and their kids to Auradon Prep.
Catching you up since graduation, pretty much all of us ended up moving to Addersfield for higher education in Auradon’s system– cuz man, I gotta tell ya, it’s a lot better in Auradon than it is anywhere else. Well, 'cept for all the evil takeovers, I guess.
But not everyone’s cut out for college itself. The nice thing about Addersfield is that it’s all a pretty tight-knit community based around the school itself. More of a college township, as it were. So some of AP’s graduates moved to town to work with a crowd they know well.
I can’t stay much longer, but don’t let the stuffy advertising fool ya about this place, folks! We’re a lot more than what the surface wants to pretend. I’d drop your application while you can if I were in your shoes! This is P. Warner, sending you right back to your regularly scheduled programming!]
–and enroll in your future today at Illedale University, where the story starts anew.
Spud blinked, frowning a little. “Like, ouch, nephew dude.” He examined his marker for a moment before going back to what he had been doing.
Azura watched Maybeck return to his seat. She paused, shaking her head, then humming and slowly pointing to the teacher. “So… he’s your uncle?”
Maybeck chuckles softly and shrugs. “Eh. Kind of. Yeah, no, I know,” he motions to himself, “But it’s kinda just convoluted. I am adopted, Nigel teaches here too and you’ll have the same reaction to him when you see him-- that, oh, yeah, he’s adopted all right moment. But Uncle Spud isn’t Nigel’s biological family either. Same for Aunt Sun, Aunt Kara, or Aunt Rose-- Mrs. Park, Mrs. Oracle, and Mrs. Long. They were old, old, OLD friends... ish... back in school. Kind of a pack bond thing; they all stayed close afterwards for... various reasons, so all of us kids grew up together.”
He pauses and shrugs, adding, “All of the kids were named after friends, well, yours truly excluded, like I said adopted. Example, Uncle Spud’s kids, Jackie and Hale, were named for Uncle Jake and his little sister, Aunt Haley. That’s how bonded the families have been.”
Spud blinked, looking at the marker that almost seemed to have appeared in his hand. “Woooaahh… how’d you do that?”
Azura laughed softly, covering her mouth. She shook her head, watching the exchange.
Maybeck sighs again, pinching the bridge of his nose. “I hate all of you so much, Uncle Spud. So so much.”
Shaking his head for another moment, he slowly heads back to his seat again, rolling his eyes slightly when he looks back to Azura with a shrug and a smirk.
“Ooh, New York,” Azura mused, a small wave of yellow passing through her hair. “That sounds like an interesting place. New York.” She giggled and shrugged, nodding towards a window behind her. “Oh, I’m from the Isle.”
“Where in the world is my marker?” Spud said, scratching his head with said marker he was trying to locate.
Maybeck doesn’t quite hear her answer, his head turning back to their teacher, sighing to himself and glancing back to Azura. “Sorry, hold that thought.”
He gets up abruptly and walks over, turning Spud to face him slowly, a slightly dead inside look on his face. Reaching up, he slowly takes the hand Spud had just scratched his head with, pulls the marker up slightly to stick out, and puts the hand in front of his eyes.
Azura giggled, wrinkling her nose a bit. “Maybeck. I like that.” She twirled some of her color-shifting hair in her fingers, observing him. He was definitely… interesting.
“So where are you from, Maybeck?” she asked, saying his name slowly like she was sounding it out, giggling to herself.
Maybeck smiles softly, chewing his lip for a moment. Wow, she’s pretty and he usually knows how to function around pretty people but she is just so completely different and it’s like everything he knows is just. Gone.
He sits up a bit with a small shrug at that. “New York. Far cry from Auradon, I gotta tell ya. What about you?”
Yes! Azura looked over. “Oh, thank you.” She took the pencil, smiling sweetly, resting her head on her hand. “I’m Azura.”
“I’m already so sick of you,” Michelle sighed.
Maybeck smiles softly, leaning back against his seat slightly and propping his arm on the desk. “Charmed. I’m Maybeck. Terry Maybeck, but it’s Maybeck to everyone.”
Azura glanced over at the boy, smirking lightly to herself. Okay, good. She put her mirror away. Okay. Okay. How to do this?
Michelle sighed, shaking her head. This was going to be a mess. She looked around, finding a mind to tune into to keep herself away from whatever the hell Azura was doing.
Sitting up slightly, Azura casually “accidentally” knocked her pencil off her desk, acting like she didn’t even notice that she’d dropped it. That had to get his attention and get him talking to her, right?
Maybeck blinks when the girl’s pencil drops off her desk, pausing a moment to make sure she hadn’t noticed before reaching for it himself, picking it up and quietly passing it to her with a soft, “Oh, hey, you dropped this.”
Far from normal? Michelle slowly leaned a bit forward to look at the boy, raising an eyebrow slowly. Gee, buddy, I wonder what gave you that impression.
Azura glanced at the boy again through the corner of her eye, her hair shifting between a deep red-pink and a lighter pink in slow bursts back and forth. Okay. Okay. This was going to be a problem. She didn’t know how she was going to feel about whatever this was.
The princess flipped her hair over her shoulder, pulling out her compact mirror and taking a moment to fix her lip gloss, half hoping it would get the boy’s attention.
Maybeck about snaps his pencil lead as he writes, having noticed the movement and glancing back to the girl. Oh. Oh, shit.
Oh, he’s screwed. He clears his throat a bit and sits up straighter, trying to pay attention to the front, but Mr. Spud has never really been completely there.
How the man got a teaching job, he will NEVER understand.
There was a reason that Mr. Spud & all had asked Nigel to teach Jackie how to control HER magic, after all.
Spud slowly looked at Nigel’s boy, staring at him for a moment, registering the smirk. “I’m sure you did, dude.” He shook his head, turning back to what he’d been doing. Or, at least, trying to. Where was his brain, again?
“Azura?” Michelle said, nudging her friend. “Hey, come back to earth, you know I can’t read you when you’re that far out.”
“Wha-?” Azura blinked, turning to Michelle. “Oh. Oh. Um, yeah- yeah, yeah, yeah yeah I’m fine. Yeah.” She cleared her throat, getting her pencil out of her purse. “Totally not distracted.”
“Uh huh. Neither was he.”
“Shut up.”
Maybeck wrinkles his nose at Mr. Spud a bit when the other stares at him. Charlene takes the opportunity, flustered and red-faced, to go recollect her desk and bring it back, stopping and patting at an obvious scuff where the desk had made impact before pulling her desk back in place.
Shaking his head, Finn smirks weakly at Charlene. “Think you got it?”
She punches his arm in response, though there’s a smile on her face. Maybeck rolls his eyes and shakes his head to himself, picking up his pencil from off of his desk and turning back to face the front slowly, stealing another glance to the girl. Wow, wow, WOW she was pretty. Oh, boy. And she was f a r from normal, too. This was gonna be... a lot, wasn’t it?
“And really I cannot think of what could be more frabjous than a wonderfully wonderful cup of tea in the rosy red rose garden,” Azura said, her hair shimmering in various shades of pink and gold.
Michelle rolled her eyes, chuckling softly. “Makes me wonder how there’s people who don’t know who your parents are.”
Azura giggled and sat at her desk. She shrugged lightly, blinking and looking over towards the abrupt noise and madness and c-
Oh.
The imp blinked, transfixed by the sight of the boy, her hair turning a solid red-pink. Michelle raised an eyebrow, gently tapping her friend on the shoulder.
Spud looked over at the table that had gone flying, blinking rapidly at it for a moment. “Woah.” He looked towards where it had come from… realizing who was there. Why was he not surprised? He shook his head a bit. “Everything okay over there, dudes?”
Maybeck clears his throat awkwardly. Oh, boy. Oh, she was... she was pretty. He quietly forces himself to tear his eyes away and back towards the mess Charlene had made of things.
Charlie slowly lowers her hands. “I thought I saw a spider!”
After the agreement was made to make plans after she’d talked to her brother. Jess ran straight after Fergus before he could get away from her again.
She taps his arm, smiling when he turns to her. “Hello. It’s great to see you, I’ve missed you, Fergus Mackenzie would you care to explain what you DID?!”
“Anyways, yeah, completely average kid,” Maybeck’s explaining to the others as he sits down. “Which is extremely uncommon, apparently. I mean, you two get it.”
Finn chuckles and nods. “I mean, yeah, yeah, nothing normal about dad summoning witches who suck the souls out of kids one Halloween.”
“What? You mean saving the world on the weekends isn’t an average pastime for the general population?” Charlie sarcastically lets her jaw drop. “Honestly, that’s some earth-shattering news to me.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Maybeck rolls his eyes. “I hate it he--”
But he trails off when the door opens and another girl walks into the room, his jaw dropping slightly. “...re...”
“Uh, you good?” Finn raises an eyebrow at Maybeck, waving a hand in front of his face.
Charlie follows Maybeck’s gaze, snorting and nudging Finn. “He’s fine. Just stupid.”
Maybeck blinks, snapping out of it, wrinkling his nose and concentrating, muttering something under his breath.
An illusion of a big spider crawls onto Charlie’s desk. Noticing the movement, the blonde glances down and yelps, moving to swat the spider...
...and flinging her desk instead by accident. Finn chokes on air and covers his mouth as Charlie’s eyes widen in shock.
Her voice is so soft it can be hard for anyone to notice. No, literally, she tried speaking and the other person hadn’t heard her. And Jess knows that might become a problem but she... really... doesn’t know how to interact with people outside of her family.
She’s learned to be plenty loud with them, though...
Mustering up her courage, she takes a breath and speaks up, pretending she was talking to her multitude of brothers instead. “EXCUSE ME! I’VE BEEN TRYING TO GET AROUND YOU FOR FIVE MINUTES NOW! CAN I PLEASE GET INTO MY LOCKER NOW?!”
Group Para: I Wanna Know About These Strangers Like Me (When Worlds Collide)
Jessica pulls her things tighter against her chest as she walks, looking around. He was here somewhere, but the school was rather big and she was one girl who'd never left home in her life--
She squeaks very faintly when she walks into another girl, gripping onto her things to keep them from falling and looking up quickly, startled to see the other girl.
"Oh, sorry!" The girl exclaims with a smile, holding out a hand to help her keep her balance, which Jess hesitantly takes. Strangers. That was the other thing that made her nervous about this entire school.
She knew to expect it but somehow that didn't reassure her. Brushing her hair from her eyes and peering up at the other, she clears her throat. "You're all right. I should have been paying more attention, I think I'm lost."
"New?" The other girl smiles softly at her. Jess tries to relax and nods quickly.
"I am. Jessica Mackenzie, but you can call me Jess. Do you know where--?"
"I'm," the girl interrupts, laughing softly, "I'm new, too. I mean, I've been here a week, but I certainly haven't learned my way around. Amanda Pendragon. It's nice to meet you!"
"Oh, oh my gosh," Jess laughs a bit as well, trying to make herself feel at ease with the other. "Well. Guess we're on our own, then, right?"
"Seems it," Amanda nods, looking around, seemingly looking for something herself. "Hmm, maybe we can find someone else to ask, though."
"I'm just looking for my brother," Jess murmurs softly, shrinking into herself a bit. She doesn't want to just find more strangers. Fergus would be a better option. She needs to slip away to find him. "I'm sure he can help me, it's fine..."
"Nonsense," Amanda laughs as she waves it off, taking Jess' hand. The girl looks more flustered. "Come on, it can't be that difficult. Let's ask him," Amanda nods to a boy stopped at his locker down the hall.
"I don't know--" Jess stumbles but follows along when Amanda abruptly drags her off.
Amanda clears her throat, tapping the boy's shoulder when they reach him. He turns and cocks his head. "Yeah, what's up?"
"Hi, I'm Amanda, this is my friend Jess," Amanda introduces, and Jess is wrapped up in being called Amanda's friend as the other continues, "We're new here, and we're so lost."
"Finn Dennison," he chuckles and nods, offering a hand to Amanda, who pauses and shakes his hand. He chuckles, though Jess notes his slight confusion. "I get it, it's pretty confusing around here. I remember how it felt when I first got here. Where are you heading?"
"Oh, I was heading out to the gym, not sure how to get there from here," Amanda answers, turning back to her at last. "Jess?"
She tries to answer, her voice even softer at the introduction of another stranger. "I'm looking for my brother."
Amanda and Finn share a look and look back at her with an identical, "Huh?"
Jess squeaks a bit, flustered, and clears her throat before speaking up a little bit. "I'm just looking for my brother... I don't know where to look, though."
"Well, who's your brother?" Finn asks with a smile, that feels reassuring. "Maybe I can help."
"Oh, uh," Jess clears her throat. Right. "Fergus? Fergus Mackenzie?"
Finn pauses, and she tries not to let her face fall when he speaks. "Oh. Uh, no. Sorry, don't think I've met him yet."
"I have," a voice offers behind them.
Jess jumps as she turns, and Amanda's eyebrows furrow as she does the same. Finn looks up, puzzled, at the boy who approached them, who smirks at the response before smiling at both of the girls, which doesn't really reassure her. "Maybeck, at your service. Anyways, I'm in the art club with Fergus. What's up, why are you looking for him?"
Jess shrinks into herself more. Too many people. She mumbles out, "He's my brother."
He doesn't even appear notice she'd spoken, but Amanda speaks up for her this time instead of making her repeat herself. "He's her brother," she motions to Jess, "And she's looking for him. What sort of name is Maybeck, anyways?"
"Mine," he rolls his eyes and crosses his arms at her, then addresses Jess, who tries to stand up straighter. "He's probably hanging out with Hannah. She's the one responsible for some of the murals you'll find around here. He looks after her a lot."
Jess nods, clearing her throat. "Thank you." Not that she really knows who she's looking for to be looking for Hannah. But it's a good start.
"Yeah, sure, whatever," Maybeck shrugs. "Not sure where they'd be right now, though."
"Who?" A girl walking by skids backwards a bit and backs up to join them. Jess takes her in as the girl continues talking. She's... a lot. "Oh, sorry, was that rude of me to just interrupt like that? I'm Isabella, but everyone calls me Willa."
"...how and why did you get Willa from Isabella?" Maybeck blinks at her.
"It isn't the strangest thing I've heard," Finn volunteers. "Finn Dennison. Nice to meet you, Willa."
"We're looking for her brother," Amanda adds on, motioning to Jess. "Maybeck here was just telling us that it's likely we'd find him with this... Hannah, you said?"
"Yeah, the girl who paints the murals around school," Maybeck nods.
"Oh! I saw her, don't know about your brother, but I know Hannah!" Willa smiles, a warm smile, that Jess likes a lot. The girl feels... genuine. Enthusiastic and loud, but genuine. She liked it. Reminded her of home. "C'mon!"
Maybeck mutters something, not that Jess pays any mind as Amanda pulls her along again, quick on Willa's heels. Finn chuckles as he follows behind them, addressing Amanda. "You're enthusiastic."
"Always glad to help a friend," Amanda answers with a shrug and a nod.
Jess clears her throat. There was that word again, from a stranger who hardly knew her. She needed to get away and find Fergus on her own. "I really can find Fergus on my own, you don't have to..." But she glances around and grows quiet again. Based on their expressions, it wasn't that easy for her to get away.
Shortly, Willa smiles and points out a short girl with purple hair. Jess blinks to herself as the girl asks, looking at her, "That's Hannah. See your brother?"
Looking around slowly, Jess swallows a lump in her throat and shakes her head. "Not here."
"Hey, it's okay," Finn smiles at Jess, setting a hand on her shoulder, ducking a bit to meet her eyes. "We'll find him, don't worry. Maybe we can ask Hannah, since she's his friend?"
Jess looks back at him and wrings her wrists a bit, but nods. He was... nice. Warm, reassuring, genuine. Maybe he, maybe they, weren't so bad, any of them... she notices Amanda smiling at Finn as well, glancing back to him--
"Yeah, I think Willa might be ahead of you on that," Maybeck mutters, and she glances over, seeing the girl walking over to Hannah.
After a conversation, Willa bounds back over. "Okay, so, while she hasn't seen him, she gave me a rundown on some places he might be and some people he might be with to check in with. One of them is super easy, she mentioned my best friend Scott, so I'm gonna text him just to get ahead of things a bit."
Jess blinks, eyebrows furrowing in confusion but not saying anything, straightening up a little bit. Amanda seems to notice, by how the girl smiles at her anyways.
Willa checks the small device in her hand and nods. "Okay, so he said he last saw Fergus heading to the library. C'mon!"
And they're off again, Maybeck muttering to himself again, but Finn seems to do something to make him follow along again.
In the library, though, Jess shakes her head as they make their way through from one end to the other. "No sign of him," she murmurs softly, though this time the others hear her. Good. She's doing better.
"Hm, well, now what?" Willa frowns. "We could be at this all day."
"No thank you," Maybeck mutters, and Finn smacks him upside the head. Jess bites her lip. Yeah, that's familiar.
Finn's head turns to take notice of another boy at a table. "Maybe he can help?" He goes over, clearing his throat. "Excuse me?"
The boy doesn't look up from his work, flicking the little thing in his hand a bit, glancing up for a moment and jumping, startled, looking at Finn. Jess cocks her head, puzzled.
"Oh, shit," Finn mutters as the boy moves, his hands starting into some sort of gesture.
And Willa pushes Finn aside. "Scoot, I got this." Smiling sweetly at the boy, she motions to the chair, and he nods. Sitting down, Willa does continue to speak, but her hands come up and she starts making motions as she talks. "Hi. My name is Willa," she pauses while her fingers move, which Jess really doesn't understand. "We didn't mean to startle you."
The other boy smiles before sitting up a bit, taking a moment to reach up his hand to his ear to mess with the thing in it (that Jess hadn't noticed prior to this moment) and clearing his throat, his hands moving as well when he talks. "That's okay. What did you need?"
"We're looking for her brother," Maybeck motions to Jess. "Fergus?" Sighing, he pauses and shakes his head before his hands move as well, much to Jess' further confusion.
"Oh, you just missed him," the boy blinks, shaking his head with a shrug. "Sorry. I'm, uh, I'm Dell O'Keefe." It's a moment before he adds, "Just call me Philby."
Maybeck rolls his eyes as he asks, this time moving his hands as he talks instead of adding them on as an afterthought (and Jess looks at Amanda a moment, seeing a matching confusion in her eyes, so at least she's not alone), "And where did that come from?"
"It's my middle name," Philby raises an eyebrow at Maybeck.
"Oh. Maybeck," he introduces.
"And you're mocking Philby?"
"Moooooving on," Finn interjects, which Jess is thankful for. "I'm Finn, that's Amanda and Jess. Where'd Fergus go?"
"Right, right," Philby gets up. "Um, I mean, he was heading that way," he points to the exit opposite where the group came in, "But I don't know any more than that."
"Wanna come with us to find him?" Willa invites, and Jess tries not to wince or panic. "I mean, at this point it's kind of fun."
"Uh..." Philby looks back at his table and shrugs. "Sure." He moves to get his things together.
Amanda goes over to help, and Jess immediately wraps her arms around herself. Finn steps over and sets a hand on her shoulder, and looking over at him, she shakily nods and leans back into his hand just slightly. She wasn't alone. She wasn't alone.
"Uh," Philby reaches to take something from Amanda. "Never seen a pen?"
"I'm from Camelot Heights," Amanda explains, examining the pen further, pushing at the different components when it makes a click and she jumps, nearly dropping it, inspecting it even further at that. Philby chuckles a bit.
"I don't get the significance of where she came from," Maybeck mutters. Finn squeezes her shoulder and then leans over to him and mutters a bit, explaining what life was like in Camelot Heights. Pausing, Maybeck leans back on one foot and chuckles, nodding a bit. "Got it."
Continuing to play with the pen now, Amanda shakes her head, finally looking back to them. "Where were we?"
Philby finishes putting his things away, a small, small smile on his face. "We were going to look for Fergus, I believe."
"Right!" Amanda abruptly hands him his pen before grabbing Jess' hand again, and the girl tries not to relax too much into the familiar grip. "Let's go!"
Jess squeaks as she's pulled off yet again, not stumbling behind her this time, hearing the others follow quickly after them.
A girl yells and jumps when Amanda bursts through the doors with a bang, pulling back and ready to throw a punch, pausing and taking deep breaths, laughing, though Jess hides even more as she does. "Sorry, you-- you startled me."
"Sorry!" Amanda laughs a bit. "We're just on a mission to find her brother Fergus. I'm Amanda, that's Jess, Finn, Maybeck, Willa, annnnd--"
The boy's trailing behind them a bit, and Amanda nods as she points to him last. "Philby."
"Charlene," the girl meets, and Jess offers her a tiny wave--
And Amanda's off again, this time pulling both Jess and Charlene with her. Charlene looks at Jess and smiles, offering a small wave back before laughing and catching up, pulling her arm away as she matches Amanda's pace. "Do you have any idea where he is?"
"Not really!" Amanda answers. "I just figure we'll find him eventually!"
Charlene laughs even more at that. "You know what, I can't argue with that logic!"
"I could!" Maybeck calls. Jess shakes her head a bit... pulling on Amanda's arm when she sees him.
Amanda stops short and looks back at her. Wordlessly, Jess points around the building to where a boy is turning back around the corner, pausing and then adding, "That's him."
Amanda smiles. "We found him!" The others cheer a bit, except Maybeck, who shakes his hands a bit for them but rolls his eyes. Jess thinks he might not be as annoyed as he acts, though.
Jess giggles softly, nodding. "Thank you. You didn't need to go out of your way like that for me, any of you."
"Anytime, Jess," Willa says with a laugh, nudging her. "Really, anytime, you can always come find me, I'd love to help you. This was fun. You guys are awesome!"
"I'd love to actually get to know you guys," Charlene admits. "I was only involved for, like, ten seconds here, but anyone who's that down to just grab a stranger and pull them into the group? Seems like a pretty fun type of person to me."
"Same here," Philby holds up a hand, smiling a bit. "Maybe we should actually get lunch sometime and properly talk things out?"
Finn nods. "I'm free whenever you guys are."
"I'll have to look at my schedule," Maybeck's grumbling to himself. Jess can't help the dejected look on her face. Taking notice of her (and the others') looks, he sighs. "...but I can probably pencil it in, yeah."
Jess smiles softly, biting her lip and nodding. She... actually really liked these strangers-- people. Not strangers, not anymore. People. "O-okay. Okay. Yeah."
"Great!" Amanda laughs. "Maybe we can meet up after Jess has caught up with her brother? And come up with a time we can all get together properly?"
"I won't be long," Jess squeaks, flustered. "Just wait here a minute, okay? I'll be right back."
"Oh, all right," Philby nods, shouldering his bag. "Sounds good."
Jess nods, running off to her brother abruptly. She really was looking forward to getting to know all of them. But right now, she had to focus on her moronic older brother. She feels like a different person as she approaches him, and to anyone who'd just been with or watching her, she was probably about look like one, too.
Lexa taps her nail against the table to the beat of the song in her earbuds as she wrinkles her nose at her screen, sitting up and leaning to the keybo--
Genevieve plops her arms around the other girl’s shoulders, showing her her latest reading test score with pride. “Lexa!!!”
Lexa jumps with a yelp, her earbuds pulling out as her head jerks back to see who the hell--
“Genny! Holy crap, kid, you scared me!”
“Sorry,” Genevieve wrinkles her nose sheepishly, smiling a bit. “But look! Look look look!”
Lexa laughs, gently pulling herself out of Genevieve’s arms and taking the test from the girl, flipping through it and nodding with a smile. “Good job, Genny. You’re doing really well. How have you been, bug?”
Genevieve sits down beside her happily. “Ummm, I’m good. Really good. Altair’s back!! I missed him bunches and lots and stuff. Annnnnd I’m getting ready to test up again.”
“Test to move up?” Lexa amends slightly, raising an eyebrow and cocking her head.
Genevieve nods. “Yeah, that!!”
Lexa laughs, smiling and punching the girl’s arm lightly. “Well, good. I’m glad to hear it.” She glances up at movement, raising an eyebrow at seeing someone else staring at them, her warm smile with the girl vanishing abruptly. “Something the matter?”
Altair looked through the book, looking interested when he saw a few flavors, but ultimately picked one. “I think I’ll take the chocolate chunk one. Or chocolate chip…wait, what’s the difference between the two?” He asked himself, then shook his head. “The one with the chocolate pieces.” He finally answered.
“Not much, chocolate chunk is supposed to have bigger chocolate pieces then chocolate chip,” Elaine shrugs as she marks him down, cocking her head at him. “Depends on how much chocolate you want, really.”
Altair snorted a little bit, smiling at Biana. “It’s okay, I don’t really want to lean into the Auradon thing anyway. We can just be ourselves.”
Biana frowns a bit and shakes her head. “I don’t know if I even know who that is. Or if I ever really did. And besides, I do actually want to lean into this whole Auradon thing.”
She sighs, shrugging, tucking a loose bit of hair behind her ear. “I’m just not sure how to when no one wants to be anywhere near me, I guess.”
