In order to get closer to date Ryoken, Yusaku had to run win over

✅4. Specter (His stan Hard mode)

✅5. Ai (His closet brocon sibling Hell mode)

All of those and only managed to get closer. The actual goal is still nowhere in sight, though.

I'm echoing my favorite painter and my own opinion on the matter.

There is no win loss in who sits in that chair despite we did joke about 椅子取りゲーム (isutori game = musical chairs game). It's not even about that in the first place. It might have been a joke during that one month waiting (in fear) when nothing had been decided yet. But everyone has been well aware the moment official items drop, someone will definitely get hurt by disappointment because their fav(s) wasn't chosen and that's when the joke is no longer funny.

Around May I imagined it might not be Ryoken but Ai or Takeru was the one sitting on the other chair, and got harrassed by artworks and fanfictions of those two kicking Ryoken out of the way.

I'm not saying I understand how other other sides are feeling about their current situation, because I even thought bitterly to myself on August 27, what if Ai and Yusaku shared a chair like Yuma and Astral. Oh, then I guess it may be the right time to leave, was what I decided at the time if it became true. Because the time had been only 3 days after 4 years anniversary of #120. I have even more reasons to prepare myself for the worst during those several last days of the wait.

In the end I was happy. I am happy.

Not to the point of rubbing it to the face of different couple shippers.

I know Ryoken will be happy as long as he knows Yusaku is well and happy, with anyone. So I respect his choice to watch over them silently from a far, protect them from the shadow, and only step in when he absolutely has to.

My favorite character is beautifully custom-made Rival for only Fujiki Yusaku. He shows love by silent sacrifice and doesn't care if nobody knows him, he prefers it that way.

By personality I can't see Yusaku or Ryoken as uke tbh.

Yusaku practically proposed to the corpse's son just when said corpse only started to get cold not even ten steps away from where he stood, stomped Lightning after Ryoken (he gained a very good and personal reason to do so right there) then went ahead and stomped on Bohman too. Yusaku had never chosen Ryoken, he decided it had to be Ryoken.(#43 #44 #45 #46 #58 #117 #119 #120)

Let's not start talking about Ryoken who practically betrayed his beloved father every season (we have 3 ladies and gentlemen), for Yusaku, and that's not even one-third visible part of the iceberg.

It's been a long time I was able to think of a complete plot in one go.

And it's a tragedy.

I'm one of those who think Ryoken's last words "Goodbye, Fujiki Yusaku" meant it would be the last time they ever saw each other in this life time, so he gave Furious to Yusaku as a proof that once upon a time they truly had been in each other's life.

Revolver knew that Playmaker would return stronger than ever, he never specifically said he wanted them to see each other again. His first dialogues in DL was even along those lines.

Or I want to see how Yusaku will cope with a future without Ryoken (dead).
