“I am wearing brown glasses and a Cuba-shirt that are from Vinted. The skirt I got from a vintage store in Amsterdam couple years ago and the cowboy boots are borrowed from a friend. I buy almost everything second hand and love finding unexpected things that way. I like wearing colors, especially pink, and pairing clothes that at first glance don’t really go together but then are so interesting and fun together! “I’m wearing a thrifted cunty pink miniskirt and a rainbow fishnet mesh dress on top of it with a cute colorful candy bikini top peaking underneath, a pink Hello Kitty belt and a rainbow scarf used as belt, and last but not least my favourite pink platform boots. I get my inspiration mainly from Harajuku street fashion and also from the thought of just bringing some colour and light into our days, and to brighten someone’s day by just being myself.”

“The top was originally a mini dress but I cut off the bottom half. The loafers are a bit too big so I always have to wear thick sports socks with them. Everything is secondhand except for the socks, which are from the grocery store next to my home. I’m inspired by 80s streetwear, 90s sportswear, 50s feminine fashion, old-school mafiosos, pin-up girls, witches, punks and goths, biker gangs, and Slavic grandmothers.”

I’m admittedly a snob about vintage football footwear but these were a gift & they match the buttons. Last time we shot together I said my style was very influenced by my love for soccer, still the case! I’m really inspired by artistic interpretation of football. My prized possessions are my 1 of 1 pieces, often vintage, that hint at the nostalgia of growing up obsessed with the game.”

Julia, 33: “My jersey is from eBay, socks are Nike, both I cut myself. Shorts are Y-3 and flip flops are from Margiela sample sale last summer. Style to me is balance. I love comfort and the balance of making comfort feel final, or polished. I love function, like utility and sport, and balancing that with touches of softness.”

The bag is Diane Gail, second hand from Depop, made of South African springbok, the beaded bracelet was a gift, the horn bangle I got in Senegal, the cuff is from Etsy and so is the silver bangle.”
