Hey. The name's Nyxe (pronounced "Nix"). I'm kinda what they call "nomadic healer" I guess. I'll be stoppin' by here and there once in a while. I'm up for meeting anyone nice if they're up for it. I keep a journal of my travels and stuff, so I got stories to share.

I grew up with my little brother, Galen, for a while. He was my best friend and more, but he died of a disease nobody could cure when I was eight. Roughest time of my life, so I became a healer. If you need any help, let me know. I'll be around.

She steadies herself. "They said just show up so we can go whenever you're ready."

"I was gonna try this on for you today, but I dunno if I should let your parents meet me in it."

Bolter glances at the skirt. "Anything is fine really. The Starshooters are pretty chill with anything as long as yaknow, everything is covered."

"It is, don't worry. Plus, I have stockings and everything." Nyxe walks over, tucks a strand of hair behind Bolter's ear, and gives her a little kiss on the cheek.

Bolter blushes. "W-Well.. i fgiured I-I uh." She looks down at her shoes. "I'll be right back, n-need to change my shoes." Teleports away.

Bolter appears by the front of the house, fixing the buttons on her suit. She fiddles with them for a moment.

"When you were growing up, did you live in NYC? I like half grew up here and I feel like I would have seen you at least once in my teenage years." Bolter thought for a moment, " Well, NYC is pretty big now that I think of it."

"No, I didn't. I've lived pretty much everywhere after I was sixteen, though, so I've been in NYC a ton since then."

Bolter looks at herself in the mirror, getting ready for Illgaea. She had packed her things, her suitcase packed aready for the next couple of days. Darcy was asleep on Bolter's bed, a dark blue blanket around the child. Lightly, Rhiannon was playing, the music filling the silence that lingered in Bolter's mind.

Bolter held up her dark hair, checking which would be better. She wanted to look nice when they arrived. The next couple days will go by fast, she promised herself. She fixed her dark blue mask. She studied her outfit (under this paragraph). She should change. She was digging through her drawers when Nyxe walked in.

"Hey." Bolter said, pulling out a a black dress shirt and white vest. "Im just getting ready." She said, putting her clothes on the bed, not waking up lil' Darcy.

Nyxe leans against the doorway, crossing their arms, wearing a black suit with half a skirt over the pants and a dark purple vest and tie, complete with purple eyeshadow. They smiled.

"Lookin' good," they commented. "You doin' okay?"

"I've been better." She said, looking down at the clothes she picked out. "Uh, my organs have been movng more than usual, but i texted the doctors and they said a cure should be done by the time i get there." Darcy shifted on the bed, yawning. Bolter looked at Darcy, seeing if shes gonna wake up or not.

"Like I said, I'm a healer, you know. I can help."

Nyxe glances at Darcy.

"She's adorable."

"i know i just ddint want to bug you and explaining it all is complicated..." Bolter said softly, picking at her nails. Darcy's big green eyes opened and she looked for Bolter.

"Mama?" Darcy said, sitting up a little. Bolter made sure her mask was on before gently picking up Darcy.

"Sweetheart, you could never bug me," Nyxe told her. They reach for Darcy and little purple sparks fly out of their fingers to entertain her.

Darcy's eyes light up looking at the sparks, reaching for them. "Mix!" Darcy says, a smile on her face.

"I know but, its just a weird disease and im trying to figure it out." Bolter said, making sure Darcy doesn't fall out of her arms.

Nyxe draws little butterflies in the air and they flutter lazily around Darcy's hands. "Well, try me. I'm kinda good at figuring things out. At least, I think so."

"Well, before my face fell off. My organs had been like moving inside of me. Then i kept throwing up rot and recently." Bolter sighs. "Rotted organs are coming up, i recognised my liver and I.." Bolter adjusts her arms for Darcy. "Its been nightmares, of this monster."

Nyxe reaches for Bolter's stomach. "Did you... put the organs back in?"

"No..." She lets Nyxe feel Bolter's stomach, it felt light, empty almost.

"Holy shit." The butterflies disappear and Nyxe's hands glow lavender. "How are you still alive?"

"No clue. I think it has to do with the disease. Its been like sending signals into my brain. I can fee the sparks." Bolter says, looking at Nyxe's hand.

"When did it start?"

"about a month ago, thats when i got into that fight with that scientist. Then the dreams, and now my organs and face." Darcy reaches for Nyxe, wanting the butterflies back.

"...Alright, where is that scientist?" Nyxe draws one hand away from Bolter's stomach and draws one butterfly.

Bplter looks down in shame, Darcy plays with the butterfly (or tries to).

"... i killed him."

"Oh, good. He deserved it." Nyxe tilts their head. "I think I can manage this."

"really?" Bolter looks up, eyes gleaming.

"Yeah."

Bolter paused a second. "Nyxe, what would it cost you?" Darcy just layed against Bolter's chest, tired of the butterfly.

Nyxe shrugs. "It depends. On how well it works."

"I'm not going to let you do it if you getit. Id rather keep it than give it to another person." Bolter says, now worried,

"Listen, it's all under control. I promise," Nyxe reassured her.

"Are you a hundred percent sure, because if what I think is going to happen..." Bolter accidently scratches to hard and breaks a nail, she doesnt even notice. "Nyxe..."

"Relax. Come here." Nyxe motions for her to follow them to their room.

Bolter follows, adjusting her hold on Darcy as she walks. She wipes the blood from her nail on her pants, then sighs.

"I'm going to try sucking the disease out of you."

Chokes on air. "You're gonna what?"

"Try to pull it out of you and stick it in a bottle."

"Oh." She flushes, embarassed. "Damn, thats makes a lot more sense."

Nyxe grins. "What were you thinking, angel?"

"let just say it very much was the opposite of angelic." Darcy falls asleep on Bolter, which makes her smile.

"Later." Nyxe stands on their tiptoes and kisses the top of her forehead. "After I fix you."

Nyxe inhales sharply. Bolter's body is enveloped in dark purple light and lifts off the ground. She suddenly feels as if something is being drained from her as Nyxe begins to attempt to draw out the dark energy within her.

Bolter tries not to drop Darcy. She could feel her nails and teeth returning back to normal. Her eyes widen, trying not to speak so she doesnt break Nyxe's focus.

Nyxe chants under their breath. They begin to shake, eyebrows creasing in fear.

Bolter notices, concerns crosses her face and she tries to give Nyxe more energy, a light blue trail of magic leaving her chest to connect to Nyxe's.

Nyxe pushes it back. Bolter begins to feel weak. Her survival without the organs was linked to the disease, Nyxe figured. There was one thing they could do.

Bolters' magic goes transparent, bags under eyes started to grow. She wanted to cry, break down, she didnt like feeling so weak.

Nyxe opens their mouth and a white stream of light begins flowing from Nyxe's mouth into Bolter's body. She begins feeling a little full again, but Nyxe begins to appear paler.

Bolter recognises this from when she had hanahaki. A sob leaves her throat, feeling usless, trying to stop Nyxe from using too much.

Nyxe locks eyes with her and shakes their head. They falter, falling to the ground.

Bolter realises shadows engulf her and she appears at Nyxe's side. "I'm not worth it, Nyxe."

Nyxe's voice is hollow. "You are worth everything, angel. Everything and more." They smile weakly. "Look at yourself. I'm within you now."

Bolter tries not to laugh. "Nyxe, look. This disease, its nothing compared to what ive been through. This is just a speedbump." She pulls down her mask, face already healing a bit. "I am okay. You are not, do you want something eat?"

Nyxe raises their hands, shaking. They're blackened, and dark forces pulse around it. "Give me a jar."

Nyxe draws little butterflies in the air and they flutter lazily around Darcy's hands. "Well, try me. I'm kinda good at figuring things out. At least, I think so."

"Well, before my face fell off. My organs had been like moving inside of me. Then i kept throwing up rot and recently." Bolter sighs. "Rotted organs are coming up, i recognised my liver and I.." Bolter adjusts her arms for Darcy. "Its been nightmares, of this monster."

[nyxe-dragonetti]

Nyxe reaches for Bolter's stomach. "Did you... put the organs back in?"

[bolter-starshooter]

"No..." She lets Nyxe feel Bolter's stomach, it felt light, empty almost.

[nyxe-dragonetti]

"Holy shit." The butterflies disappear and Nyxe's hands glow lavender. "How are you still alive?"

[bolter-starshooter]

"No clue. I think it has to do with the disease. Its been like sending signals into my brain. I can fee the sparks." Bolter says, looking at Nyxe's hand.

"When did it start?"

[bolter-starshooter]

"about a month ago, thats when i got into that fight with that scientist. Then the dreams, and now my organs and face." Darcy reaches for Nyxe, wanting the butterflies back.

[nyxe-dragonetti]

"...Alright, where is that scientist?" Nyxe draws one hand away from Bolter's stomach and draws one butterfly.

[bolter-starshooter]

Bplter looks down in shame, Darcy plays with the butterfly (or tries to).

"... i killed him."

[nyxe-dragonetti]

"Oh, good. He deserved it." Nyxe tilts their head. "I think I can manage this."

[bolter-starshooter]

"really?" Bolter looks up, eyes gleaming.

[nyxe-dragonetti]

"Yeah."

[bolter-starshooter]

Bolter paused a second. "Nyxe, what would it cost you?" Darcy just layed against Bolter's chest, tired of the butterfly.

[nyxe-dragonetti]

Nyxe shrugs. "It depends. On how well it works."

[bolter-starshooter]

"I'm not going to let you do it if you getit. Id rather keep it than give it to another person." Bolter says, now worried,

"Listen, it's all under control. I promise," Nyxe reassured her.

[bolter-starshooter]

"Are you a hundred percent sure, because if what I think is going to happen..." Bolter accidently scratches to hard and breaks a nail, she doesnt even notice. "Nyxe..."

"Relax. Come here." Nyxe motions for her to follow them to their room.

[bolter-starshooter]

Bolter follows, adjusting her hold on Darcy as she walks. She wipes the blood from her nail on her pants, then sighs.

"I'm going to try sucking the disease out of you."

[bolter-starshooter]

Chokes on air. "You're gonna what?"

[nyxe-dragonetti]

"Try to pull it out of you and stick it in a bottle."

[bolter-starshooter]

"Oh." She flushes, embarassed. "Damn, thats makes a lot more sense."

[nyxe-dragonetti]

Nyxe grins. "What were you thinking, angel?"

[bolter-starshooter]

"let just say it very much was the opposite of angelic." Darcy falls asleep on Bolter, which makes her smile.

"Later." Nyxe stands on their tiptoes and kisses the top of her forehead. "After I fix you."

Bolter blushes "Wait, what-"

[nyxe-dragonetti]

Nyxe chuckles. "Close your eyes."

[bolter-starshooter]

"Alrighty." Bolter closes her eyes.

Nyxe inhales sharply. Bolter's body is enveloped in dark purple light and lifts off the ground. She suddenly feels as if something is being drained from her as Nyxe begins to attempt to draw out the dark energy within her.

Bolter tries not to drop Darcy. She could feel her nails and teeth returning back to normal. Her eyes widen, trying not to speak so she doesnt break Nyxe's focus.

Nyxe chants under their breath. They begin to shake, eyebrows creasing in fear.

Bolter notices, concerns crosses her face and she tries to give Nyxe more energy, a light blue trail of magic leaving her chest to connect to Nyxe's.

Nyxe pushes it back. Bolter begins to feel weak. Her survival without the organs was linked to the disease, Nyxe figured. There was one thing they could do.

Bolters' magic goes transparent, bags under eyes started to grow. She wanted to cry, break down, she didnt like feeling so weak.

Nyxe opens their mouth and a white stream of light begins flowing from Nyxe's mouth into Bolter's body. She begins feeling a little full again, but Nyxe begins to appear paler.
