WE’RE TWO BUT ONE

I finally experienced being alone. The idea of finding your identity apart from someone you know on a deeper level, changes you over time. This series represents the connection I have with my twin sister. These photos contain unique abstractions and techniques that depict our separate yet similar perspectives and experiences we have apart as well as together. With creative influence from Leonie Barth, I want my photographs to reach another level of potential that pushes interesting perspectives in creative ways. I also look forward to mentors and students who will push me to achieve and practice new skills that I need, in order to achieve my ideas and goals for the future.

Update on Twin Series

I'm a twin and being a twin isn't what represents my identity. After high school a lot of things were experienced by my twin sister and I. As we got older we started finding our own individual selves alone, without each other.

That experience of separation between the two, had an impact that changed us both. That goes for everyone else as well. When you go far away from comfort to a new place alone. You experience change, growth, independence, freedom. I want this project to represent that space which refers to distance. I want to some how use abstraction in my photos, and just experiment with my sister and myself with the idea of space and connection.
