It's night time, you're inside Colony House. Despite how much you want answers and you want to find a way out, you still follow the rules when they tell you to stay inside. You're stubborn though, asking too many questions to people who don't have answers. You're in the living room when you see a familiar face looking at you through the window. The face of your fiancé, the one you ran away from. Only something is wrong about him, he has the huge, creepy smile like the rest of the monsters. Do you think it's really him? Did he find you here somehow? Or do you know it is just a trick the monsters are playing on you? Either way, he speaks to you and he sounds just like himself. "Mira, I've missed you," he says with that creepy smile. "Why don't you come outside and give me a hug? I've been looking everywhere for you." You remember what everyone has told you, don't trust what the monsters say and never open the door. But do you listen? Does your hand itch to open that door and finally get answers. Or do you stay put and tell yourself that it isn't real, he isn't really here?

You're sitting in the sheriff's station like you do most days, you sure do take your job seriously. It feels like any other day, just make it through and survive, that's what you've been doing for seven years now. Only something is different today; the phone rings. It's been sitting on the desk since before you came here but has never once rang, yet today it is. Do you answer it? Are you hearing things and just hoping that it would finally ring and give some sign of an outside world? If you answer the phone, you hear a voice you thought you would never hear again. "Hey Lu," the voice that sounds suspiciously like your brother says. But your brother has been dead for seven years, it was impossible. Yet it sounds just like him. "Miss me?" He asks through the phone. "You're doing a good job of watching everyone, making sure they're safe. Why couldn't you do that for me? Why couldn't you protect me?" Then the line goes silent. No matter how hard you try, you can't make the voice come back. What just happened? Was that really your brother? Or are you finally starting to lose it?

You hear a barking, you've heard it before. There is a dog outside your door. It barks at you, wagging its tail. It wants you to follow it. Dogs are trustworthy, right? It's totally not weird that you can never find the dog when you go looking for it but it always seems to be able to find you. It walks towards the forest, it wants to show you something. Deeper and deeper into the trees, never looking back to see if you're following it. It barks and runs through the woods but when you think you catch up to it, the dog is gone. You're standing in a clearing. There is nothing there besides a single tree in the middle. It seems like an ordinary tree. Why did the dog bring you here? What is so special about the tree? Do you investigate it or do you go back to town and try to forget about it like all the other times the dog has come to you?

The sun beats down on you, you can feel the heat on your skin as you walk through the town. It seems like any normal day, or as normal as it can be in this place. But as you take another step, the sky grows dark and a chill takes over you. Do you panic? Is it another storm? Should you run for cover before the monsters come out? A figure steps out in front of you, a figure you recognize. Emerson. She's standing in front of you like the past week hasn't happened, like you hadn't seen her body be put in the ground already.

"You can't do that again, Cherry Bomb," she says in a calm voice. "What you did with the car? You can't do that, you can't risk it. They're smarter than we thought." She pauses, maybe you reply or maybe you're stunned into silence. She doesn't seem to notice before she keeps speaking. "I didn't think it was that late when I tried to go to the party, you know how much I loved to party. But the sun was past the trees and they were there. It wasn't as painful as I thought it would be, they made it quick. I just really hate that they stained my shirt. Can you believe that? I stole it from that one chick in colony house and denied it all the time, and those fuckers stained it with my blood. Rude as fuck if you ask me. Just not sure why they did what they did to me."

She smiles at you, as if she hadn't just said what she did. She winks and suddenly it's day time again and you're alone, you're still standing where you were and sun is out again. Did anyone else see that? Was it all in your head? Will anyone believe you?
