I really appreciate the Supergirl (2026) let Kara be gross. Her ship looked fucking disgusting and more power to her for that! Media needs to let women be gross and grieve in ugly, realistic ways. We’e seen enough pretty crying with a glass of wine in cute pjs. Love that they’re letting Kara be a slob and not gaf what other people think.

after that bard fight in Bard’s Lament I am desperate to see footage of the cast in the recording booth, especially Sam Riegel. I’m sure lots of people thought the power of friendship thing was corny but I personally loved the entire scene, both the animation and the music. Sam Riegel is just so incredibly talented.

wait im genuinely so sad about motorheads being cancelled now?? I did not think it would be as good as it was and tbh only picked it up because of how much i liked Michael cimino in Love, Victor.

It really drew me in how Harris’s dad said he felt like history was repeating itself with Zac and Harris (thinking Zac would be like Christian and Harris like his dad), and how history really did repeat itself but in reverse with Harris falling in with the wrong crowd like Christian did. I know they had to be doing it on purpose because Harris really does look so much like Christian did in all the flashbacks.

I hope the fic writers are doing their thing because I’m not okay with this show ending on a cliffhanger. There was so much potential with every single character and so many unresolved plot lines. (Did I smell a possible Marcel/brooke slowburn setup or am I tripping? and kiara and Cait never talking about how kiara saw Cait and Curtis making out? How we never see Alicia confronting Zac about the robbery? Cait never finding out how Logan was the one who strong armed Christian into driving that day?)

Wow, I think that last episode of 911 Nashville (the one before the crossover) was the strongest one yet. I finally managed to gaf about the don-Dixie-Blythe drama. Kudos to the casting directors for finding young Dixie. That casting was spot on imo.

This is weird to say about a TV show but I think the dynamics between those three were really difficult to get invested in initially because the show was telling rather than showing. Everything we knew about the past was told to us in the form of conversations between characters, but we didn’t get a flashback until S1E11. Damn that was actually over ten episodes (I just checked the number).

I still don’t like Ryan all that much for reasons I think Buck expressed well, but I’m definitely much more interested in the show as a whole now. I still wish they’d steer away from the actual family drama though. The initial appeal of 911 to me was always the found family and the blood family just kind of undercuts it for me. Don’t know how true it is of Nashville but sometimes it feels like blood family is used to justify lazy writing while you can’t get away with writing character dynamics like that if they aren’t blood related.

*SPOILERS FOR NETFLIX HIS & HERS AHEAD*

I just finished His & Hers and oh my goodness?? All I could say when the finale ended was holy crap, over and over again. I did not see that coming but honestly? The reveal was kind of beautiful. Weirdly the ending makes me think the show qualifies as a feel-good watch. The only thing I didn’t like was Jack’s entire personality. It was a hard watch for me whenever he was on screen, especially the way he spoke to Priya. I’m still kind of unsure if he’s meant to come off as likeable.

Would’ve appreciated some background on how Catherine/Lexy met Richard and who he was, but otherwise I loved the show. They packed a surprising amount into 6 episodes. I really appreciated how the author/writers very subtly and naturally inserted Alice into everywhere she needed to be to commit the murders (I didn’t read the book so unsure where this originated). It’s rare that I completely fail to guess a twist so I really enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend this show but major TWs for rape, murder, infidelity and child death. Not an easy watch if you have trauma, particularly episode 6.

When Athena, May and Harry were sat at the table and Harry was talking about the importance of cleaning products all I could think about was that his mannerisms were so much like Buck’s. It was straight up adorable, his golden retriever energy is SO strong. Buck is really turning Harry into his mini-me and I’m honestly living for it.

sorry but hen is not getting my sympathy after that last episode. How was anyone supposed to know what was wrong with her when she literally went out of her way to lie and hide her symptoms from everyone, INCLUDING HER WIFE?? Karen didn’t even notice and she lives with Hen. Literally how tf was anyone else supposed to know?? Chimney was right and bro did nothing wrong. She didn’t even see how her not being fit for duty literally endangers the public. That pretty much shows he made the right choice.

I don’t know why the writers are trying to get us to sympathise with someone who did something so selfish and is continuing to act self-absorbed as hell. Hen owes Karen and chimney big apologies. Karen 100% had the right to be angry about her wife hiding a debilitating medical condition from her. I hate to say it but the writing choices have really been questionable starting with Bobby’s death.

I’m late but demiromantic demisexual Eddie Diaz truthers are eating good this week?? I have never hc’ed a character to be demisexual (even as a demisexual person lol) but it’s not even a reach with him like bro has only loved one person his entire life and finds it deeply weird to try and get with random strangers (which he has explicitly stated multiple times). So of course the most reasonable solution here is Buddie (please let it happen this season we need a win in this shitty year)

So I really wanted to enjoy Hazbin Hotel, mostly because the cast is absolutely stacked with musical theatre icons like Jeremy Jordan, Jessica Vosk, and Kimiko Glenn, and of course Stephanie Beatriz, but I really can’t do it anymore. I was trying really hard to look past how the plot is basically a shittier version of The Good Place (my all-time number one favourite show), but for some reason s2 was just such a rough watch for me. I didn’t get past the first three episodes for two main reasons:

First, I couldn’t get over how childish and naive Charlie was written to be. I thought they’d tone it down a bit after season 1 because it just kind of makes sense that she’d have developed as a character after the events of season 1. So that didn’t happen. I was in disbelief when she invited Vox and Velvette into the hotel to do an interview. It just seemed like a comically stupid move, and the way she treated Angel seriously rubbed me the wrong way.

Second, I felt like there was a glaring discrepancy between the acting choices and the content of the show. At times, Charlie and Emily especially really felt like characters in a children’s cartoon with the exaggerated emotions and the animation style. It feels so jarring to get this vibe from the sound and visuals when the content of the show is so adult (and over-the-top edgy in my opinion). I don’t know why this only started really getting to me in s2 but it’s so bad. It’s kind of combining the two things I dislike the most about kids animation and adult animation. If a kids show is good, I can look past the over the top acting. If an adult show is good, I tolerate any over the top edginess and excessive swearing that may be present. Hazbin Hotel just has no redeeming qualities for me at this point. I’m just sad that the talents of so many amazing singers and actors are basically being wasted on a badly written show. I have never written this long of a criticism post here but I guess that’s how badly the wasted potential got to me.

okay i know he was probably just an npc in the campaign who was set up to look dodgy but it’s so tragic how that guy Fince died in episode 2 because vox machina profiled him as “looking creepy” and interrupted his investigation into Krieg. Poor guy was actually doing something useful but they got him killed and took credit for what he found. Did my man dirty fr 😭😭

the buccaneers lowkey feels like a warning about (and for) women who centre men. I’m a certified Jinny hater but just to be clear, I’m not blaming her for being an abuse victim or “choosing the wrong man”. I’ll even let Nan’s illegitimacy being exposed slide, because she genuinely didn’t think Seadown would expose Nan. I do, however, blame her for throwing her friends under the bus every opportunity she had.

When Seadown asked Lizzy for a dance, the first time he’d given her any attention, Jinny insults her to her face and demeans her. Never mind the fact that Lizzy showed no such jealousy when Jinny was getting all the attention. And even after this, Lizzy tries to keep an eye on Jinny, coming all the way back to England FOR HER because she’s worried that Jinny isn’t safe with Seadown. Lizzy is an angel for that and she deserved so much better than how Jinny treated her.

The other incident that icked me out was her insulting Conchita to ingratiate herself with her mother-in-law. Every time Jinny has an opportunity to get ahead, she takes it, and throws these girls she’s known her whole life under the bus for approval that won’t protect her when it comes down to it. Seadown abused her and alienated her from her loved ones, and his mother enabled him all the way to the end. Even all her bootlicking didn’t save her. The love and (undeserved) sacrifices from her family and friends did. It’s sad that Nan and Conchita ultimately paid a higher price than Jinny did for her own selfish choices. (Not to mention Guy, Theo and Lizzy)

I just finished the legend of vox machina and I am unhealthily obsessed with Percy and Vex. I don’t think I’ve been this invested in a ship since Griddlehark, which is really saying something. Vex calling him darling?? And taking a bullet for him?? why did she ever think she was hiding the fact that she was whipped for him 😭😭 and him giving her a title in front of her dad?? And offering his jacket when he was CLEARLY freezing. And *that* scene after the 2+ season slowburn O.O brb I’ll be reading every perc’ahlia fic I can find until s4 drops.

Also I adore the fact that Vex didn’t make a single move on Percy until he’d finished dealing with his (literal) demons and trauma. I so rarely see friends to lovers written in a way I actually enjoy. Lastly, perc’ahlia writers YALL ARE THE SHIT please never stop doing what you’re doing.

I just finished Gen V and omg Annabeth’s fangirl face when A-Train pulled up was too adorable!! They all nailed the starstruck-but-trying-to-hide-it look so well 😭😭

Also polarity and Emma’s goodbye?? I love that they got that little scene to acknowledge their found dad and daughter dynamic. Love this thing they have going on where dads and daughters/granddaughters hug when one of them is absolutely covered in blood and guts.

RIP Doug though :( sad ending to a sad life. My man deserved better.

I’ve never felt this way about Sage before but with the recent Gen V Cipher plotline, I can’t help but feel like everyone was dumbed down to make her look smarter. Like I’ve said before, I don’t think it was believable that only Cate put it together that late in the game given the amount of information everyone had. It rather does Sage’s character a disservice, because a genius character is supposed to be smarter than everyone, even people with above average intelligence, not look smart just because everyone around them is dumb. I love this show but I’m not sure this plotline is the writers’ best work.
