“Nobody speaks to me. People fall in love with me, and annoy me and distress me and flatter me and excite me and—and all that sort of thing. But no one speaks to me. I sometimes think that no one can. Can you?”
— Edna St. Vincent Millay, from a letter to Arthur Davison Ficke featured in Savage Beauty: The Life of Edna St. Vincent Millay (via violentwavesofemotion)

.
I wrote this really poetic piece about the ocean and then yesterday I watched 4 teens get stuck in a rip tide and couldn’t do anything about it besides wait for the coast guard to come
But today I got in the water anyway
My very first wave I wiped out and hit my head on the fin and cut it open
I stayed in the water and surfed though. I saw 6 dolphins jump into the air.. it was magic. Life is crazy.. scary .. beautiful. chaotic.
Yesterday in meditation, I was at the beach I always go to.. and it was storming
i saw my inner-child on the shore.. hugging her knees in the darkness.. crying
and no matter what I couldn’t reach her...
It was the first time meditation was dark for me.
