A lot of things had changed lately, some rather intimate scenarios in particular having occurred between the two of them, but it changed next to nothing regarding how they behaved around each other normally. When they were alone was an entirely different area but right now, they were in the middle of camp and he had all but collapsed on top of her as she was trying to read so her instant response was simply to smack him on the head with her book.

“-- Is there a reason you just fell on me, jackass..?”

Though a moment later, after her initial shock of feeling his body laying against hers had passed, she shifted a little so that his head was in her lap and just went back to reading her book. Not really caring about whether or not he answered her though, her hands found their way to his hair and she began to play with the two-toned locks, humming a little to herself as she did.

She had been throwing up illusions left and right to protect her identity as she strolled through the market place for supplies, it was always hers or Mabeth’s job to do the shopping considering they could get in and out without any trouble, when she spotted the familiar figure and instantly burst out laughing. There were a few blue locks sticking out of his hat and she’d know those eyes anywhere, she’d memorized them for the purpose of killing him but not it was just to find him with whatever ridiculous bullshit he had them doing, ridding her face of all amusement now though she approached the man and dropped her illusion with her hands resting on either hip.

She was absolutely positive that she was losing her mind because all of a sudden her entire guild was a bunch of a screaming babies, and she meant that in the very fucking literal sense. Looking around the camp she noticed Erik sucking on what could only be a poisonous Toad that he had found god knows where, Meredy was rolling around in her cloak while tossing twigs at a tiny Jellal, Sawyer and Richard kind of looked like they were fighting over who got to be the teddy bear and who got to be the human and Macbeth was, well he was a miniature sized hooker asleep at her feet.

Looking down at the little Reflector Mage she hesitantly bent down to pick him up by his leg and dangled him in the air upside down like a toy doll, poking him with an extended finger she almost dropped the little rodent when he woke up to attempt to bite her. Now hesitantly she brought him a little closer to her face, but still out of reach, she hesitantly sniffed him and instantly gagged. There was no fucking way in hell she was going to change her guild mate, there wasn’t enough money in the world to get her to do that.

In the TOH as a child Sorano essentially clung to Erik and Macbeth, she was the only female in her cell and having been old enough to know the kind of things older men could do to her whilst in such a situation she always made sure that she was with one of the boys at all times. The guards were often rough with her, more so than anyone else, and it made her worried that they were trying to weaken her on purpose.

The boys having realized what she was doing promised that they would protect her and so often tried to piss off the guards enough to make sure that Sorano was ignored by them, in the end it was Sorano who ended up killing a guard to stop the treatment they received instead of her and she promised to always stay with them no matter what.

So even though she now acts as though she hates them more often than not they and the rest of OS will always be considered her family alongside Yukino and she’d do whatever it would take to protect them.

She stared at the man as if he were a bug that needed to be squished, she was beautiful she knew that much and she didn’t need to go shoving it in anyone’s face or gloating about it to be aware of the fact but the question made her want to do just that in hopes of pissing him off.

Beauty was something that she had always cared for, the angels that she had once worshipped were full of beauty and grace and if she were to one day ascend to the heavens then beauty was something she had actually believed she needed. She had believed that being beautiful made you immortal, that if people remembered your face then you didn’t really die but she was extremely wrong, she knew that now.

Her appearance mattered a great deal to her though, it was something that no one could take from her, something that reminded her of her sister every single time she looked in the mirror and made it so that she could actually stand to live with her sins. Beauty ran beyond that though, it was everywhere that she went, every single thing that crossed her path was beautiful in it’s own way and if you could see the ‘beauty’ in it then you could try to at least live a happy life.
