posting real quick just to say thank you all for all the lovely likes and reblogs...! I suppose you can consider me a little dead, since I don’t nearly have as much time as I used to to write... (though... maybe I’ll write a quick one shot for cool curry man in the future... maybe.)

I know I'm still VERY inactive but I was tagged by @linklethehistorian ! apologies if this is a bit late ^^;

1. HEIGHT: I believe I’m 5′3″?? I’m a bit short compared to others lol

3. LAST MOVIE I SAW: HTTYD 3!! (I cried)

4. FAVORITE MUSICIAN: I don’t have a single person oops... but I will admit that I really like Nat King Cole/Rex Orange County and bands such as Two Door Cinema! My music taste is all over the place hnghg

5. FAVORITE AUTHOR: aaaA god I’m not really sure, but I really enjoyed Hiromu Arakawa’s writing (FMA) !

6. FAVORITE FANFICTION: First off how dare you. Second off, I think one of my favorites is a mp100 one, most notably A Breach of Trust on ao3. It is VERY good I love it.

7. FAVORITE MOVIE: Bungou Stray Dogs: DEAD APPLE is my obvious choice; it isn’t even really a competition.

8. FAVORITE ANIME: hhnHGh I know FMA:B/FMA (2003) are high on the list, butI really adore kekkai sensen, mp100, and durarara!! 

9. PLAY AN INSTRUMENT?: Just the violin and a tiny bit of piano for fun!

10. RANDOM FACT: Other than the fact that I’m busy with irl things currently, I’m bilingual in Mandarin to an extent (I’m not fully fluent unfortunately, but I know enough to be able to hold a conversation aaa)

Oda’s Past

We don’t know much about Oda. We also only know a sliver of his past. So, I’ve come up with a past for him. It’s probably not right but since it’s likely that we may never learn about his past, I wanted to do something.

Oda probably became aware of his ability at a young age, but he didn’t know that this wasn’t normal. He probably mentioned things that would happen to his parents which, over time, creeped them out. This isn’t something a normal person did.

Oda’s family probably moved around a lot which is why he doesn’t naturally seek out the company of others.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s AU

Basically exactly what the title says. I’ve changes a few things around from the movie (basing off the movie only). 

Holly’s (you the reader) previous marriage story has been scraped here because it just doesn’t make sense given our time period. You can just assume that you grew up in an orphanage with your brother. 

Tiffany’s has been made into a bookstore over a jewellery store. The reason you don’t buy the books is because you don’t have time to dedicate to them (despite loving them).

In the movie, Holly dresses up and visits Tiffany’s, but in this AU, you dress down into more comfy clothes. You live a decadent life for the money, but you’re really a quite bookworm/writer at heart.

Still have your charm and sass. 

I’ve changed few minor details, but the main point of the story is still there.

Sure! And no need to apologize anon!! It’s all good ^^

I imagine s/o needed time to get more comfortable around Oda after first meeting him. Oda, of course, understands, being the nice person he is after all. 

The first time his s/o says something to him, it’s when he’s alone with them. No matter what comes out of their mouth, he’s quite astounded, his eyes wide with surprise. Oda is practically speechless for at least 2 seconds before replying to his s/o. He won’t particularly address the fact that his s/o just spoke to him for the very first time, but he stammers just slightly when he replies back to them. 

In a way, his s/o speaking to him in that moment sort of let him know that his s/o feels more comfortable, or more secure around him. And for that, he’s glad. In a way, I suppose you could say it’s also a signal of trust between him and his s/o.

Okay but- S/o possibly saying “I love you” to him for the first time when they first speak to him. A look of surprise appearing on his face and then this warm smile tugging at his lips as he replies an “I love you too” back.

Can i please get headcanons for Oda with a s/o that is selectively mute? If youre unformfortable with it it's okay.

It’s okay anon! I am going to assume that s/o is selectively mute in certain situations that they’re uncomfortable with, if that’s okay with you ^^; If you wanted something more specific please feel free to tell me!

Oda will be the most considerate person toward his s/o. If they don’t want to speak, he won’t force them to. Whenever they’re somewhere that makes them not comfortable enough to talk, he’ll rely on asking them yes or no questions to get a head nod/shake from them as a response. Other than that, he’ll do the talking for his s/o, if they’re okay with it.

S/o will maybe poke him in the arm or tap him on the shoulder to give him a disapproving look or shake their head whenever they hear Oda say something that they don’t want him to or want to correct him on something. Tapping him on the shoulder will be their way of getting his attention mostly I assume.

Facial expressions and in general knowing his s/o is what makes him able to communicate and understand his s/o when it comes to having to “talk” with them, especially if they’re somewhere where his s/o isn’t comfortable talking. It’s a little bumpy at first, but Oda gets the hang of it overtime. Soon, he’s already an expert at reading his s/o (like a book I guess I should say lol)

Knowing Oda, he’ll know what makes his s/o comfortable and not so comfortable. He’ll reassure them that he’s there with them whenever they have to go to somewhere that they don’t feel comfortable speaking.

Now, if it’s with a specific person, Oda won’t mind communicating for his s/o. He’ll be more cautious if it’s someone he feels suspicious of, and even more so if it’s someone who hurt his s/o. He’ll understand if the person is a stranger however.

S/o might talk the most when they’re with Oda, and when they’re in an environment where they feel secure. I imagine some things Oda might hear from his s/o the most is “I love you” and things similar to it aha

I'm sick and had the most stressful week of all weeks, so I was wondering if I could get some soft, cuddly, reading books with Oda headcanons? Thanks

Reading books with Oda is one of the most wholesome experiences to have with him. He won’t mind if his s/o were to sit on his lap as he holds out the book for the two of you in bed. 

If Oda were to read with his s/o at the table, he’d set the book between them. His shoulders are nearly touching his s/o’s as he reads with them, but he subtly inches closer to them and soon he’s right next to them if his s/o is comfortable with it of course.

Even if he seems quite calm on the outside, he’s pretty jittery internally. Oda can’t help but feel a bit nervous, being so close to his s/o touch wise. Though, he’d gladly hold hands with his s/o as he reads with them. 

After he’s done reading with the current pages of the book, he’ll wait a few seconds longer before asking his s/o if they want him to turn the page. Other than that, he’ll silently wait for his s/o to finish until they give the signal to turn the page. 

Maybe some tea to go with some nice reading time? Oda will gladly make some with his s/o and drink it with them. 

If it’s late at night, he might see his s/o slowly fall asleep against him as they read in bed, whether they be right by his side or on his lap. He’ll then make sure to mark where they left off and turn off the light, falling asleep with them after giving them a kiss on their forehead. 

Or maybe the other way around! S/o might see Oda nod off, and they can’t miss the chance to plant a kiss on his cheek before turning off the lights to fall asleep as well.

Um, could you do something where Oda has an author he really likes who just so happens to be his friend (i.e s/o)?

sure!! 

There must’ve been a moment where Oda is reading a book that his s/o has written, and Oda doesn’t know that his s/o is actually the one who wrote it lol (assuming that s/o most likely used a pseudonym)

When Oda finds out that the author that he likes is his s/o/friend, he’s quite shocked. His eyes just go wide as he asks his s/o if what he heard was right. 

He doesn’t know how to exactly react. He’s utterly surprised at the fact that he knows the author that he enjoys so much and pretty speechless at the fact that uh, his s/o wrote the books he likes??? Like, wow. I imagine s/o must be pretty amused and a little embarrassed at his reaction aha

After he’s calmed down a bit from the surprise of his life, he has well, a lot of questions he’d like to ask his s/o about being an author and all that. He holds off on them until he can find the right moment to ask, however. 

When he does ask, it’s questions like the publishing process, how his s/o comes up with all these ideas, etc etc. It’s like an entire list that he wants to ask, but he doesn’t want to overwhelm his s/o with too many questions at once. 

Oda beams with pride whenever he sees people enjoying his s/o’s works. 

I imagine that whenever Oda reads a book written by his s/o and there’s a cliffhanger at the end he can’t help but give his s/o this pouty look.

Yay requests are open! Could I request headcanons for Oda overhearing his s/o singing softly to themselves in their native tongue?

His s/o would probably be another room, and Oda just happened to walk by. He quiets his steps as he recognizes his s/o’s voice. 

As he gets closer, he can hear them singing. And in their native tongue, no less. Oda’s breath sort of stops for a moment or two, just trying to take in how they sound absolutely wonderful. He sometimes hears them speak in their native language, but he never heard them sing in it. 

Oda wouldn’t at all want to stop them from singing, especially with how they sound like they’re enjoying themselves, so he’ll silently listen as they sing softly to themselves. He has this soft smile on his face as he continues to listen to their voice. 

He can’t help but compliment on his s/o’s singing voice, and how they sang in their native tongue afterward. S/o would be quite embarrassed as Oda shyly apologizes for listening without making his presence known aha

headcanon for Oda who's from a business trip abroad/some place faraway and will be meeting his s/o at the airport?

On the place back home, he’s pretty excited and nervous. His excitement keeps him awake the entire ride home, as he thinks about meeting his s/o. Oda would be thinking of the many things to talk about with his s/o, along with showing the few souvenirs he managed to bring home for them.

Once it’s time to get off the plane, Oda is one of the first people off. Every step he takes is one step closer to seeing his s/o again in person. Only getting to call them or video them while he was away made him long to see them and give them a hug or kiss. 

Speed walks his way to where he will be meeting his s/o. Not so fast that he’s running but not quite so slow that he’s walking. 

The moment he sees his s/o waving at him, a smile appears on his face as he approaches them. Weaving his way through other travel goers, he goes and gives his s/o a hug. Being away from his s/o made Oda quite touch starved. 

While he’s at it, he gives them a kiss on the cheek. He’s gone too long without giving them one aha

When going back home with his s/o, he’s sure to tell them about some parts of his trip, along with telling them that he missed them (dearly)

hello so uhm I'm really struggling with my self-esteem towards how I look (because I've never really been regarded as pretty at all in my life and it makes me sad), so I want a headcanon on how Oda would react to his s/o who doesn't feel so good with her appearance uwu

Of course~

When he knows that, the first thing he wants to do is to hug them or hold their hand and tell them that they look absolutely beautiful. Even if his s/o doesn’t feel too good about it, he’ll still tell them that they’re pretty both inside and out, no matter what.

Oda knows that his s/o won’t immediately feel good about how they feel, so he’ll purposefully compliment them once a day. It may not seem like much, but he knows that slow and steady can help a lot of gathering confidence, or anything really. It’s very likely he’ll compliment his s/o on their appearance whenever he’s hugging them or if he were to meet them during almost any time.

His s/o might not know it, but Oda thinks about how fantastic his s/o looks whenever he sees them. He can’t help but secretly think about how pretty and cute they are, no matter what they look like aha

I imagine his s/o will notice how Oda seems like he wants to talk to them about something, such as Oda looking as if he was about to say something and then hesitating, or him being restless. Seeing how Oda is acting like that might incite them to ask if there’s something that’s bothering Oda. 

Other than his s/o noticing his actions, Oda doesn’t exactly know how to hint at his s/o that he wants to move in together with them besides telling them. He’ll try to tell them and hesitate a couple of times before finally getting it out of him and asking his s/o, or his s/o asking him if there’s anything he wants to talk about aha
