Australian Resin-Pot Bees: these solitary bees build nesting capsules out of resin, and they often sleep in the capsules as they prepare to lay their eggs

Bees of the subgenus Austrochile are commonly known as "resin-pot bees," thanks to their unusual nesting habits. A team of entomologists recently described 71 new species from this subgenus, all of which are native to Australia.

These are solitary bees, meaning that they do not form colonies or live together in hives. Each female creates her own brood cells out of resin, often suspending the chambers from twigs and tree branches. Nesting females have been known to sleep in these aerial chambers while their brood cells are still under construction, and their fuzzy little heads are sometimes seen poking out through the opening at the top.
They also frequently enter the capsules head-first so that they can mold the inner walls of each cell, which means that their rumps are sometimes visible instead.

The female supplies each capsule with enough nectar and pollen to feed a single offspring until it reaches maturity. She then lays a single egg in each cell and seals the entrance in order to protect the tiny egg as it develops inside.
Once the larva reaches adulthood, it uses its mandibles to cut through the top of the capsule and then emerges as a fully-developed bee.

Resin-pot bees (subgenus Austrochile) are unique to Australia, but several similar resin bees can also be found in Europe and Asia. Anthidiellum strigatum, or the European rotund resin bee, is a similar species from Europe that uses resin to build its brood cells, but it mixes the resin with bits of vegetation, soil, and other debris.

Many bees build freestanding nests using other methods and materials, as this article explains:
Freestanding nests may be built with mud, resins, stones mixed with resin, plant fibers, and animal fur. Resin bees collect plant-based, sappy resin and use glandular secretions to build hard, water resistant nests. They sometimes decorate the nests with stones and pebbles. An African bee, Serapista, builds nests out of plant fiber, animal fur, and bird feathers glued to plant stems.
Another unique nesting strategy was featured in my previous post about wool-carder bees, which collect the soft, downy fibers from certain plants, bundle them into "cottonballs," and then use that material to build the walls and inner chambers of their nests.

girl clancy started as "what if they just labeled one of their concept sketches 'girl clancy' and its just one of the outfits tyler joseph actually wears and never elaborated" . and i saw a post where people were getting hyped about breach box CD variant "nova bishop" using feminine "nova." and decided girl clancy is not only real but catholic.
ive been thinking about how it would implyyy that clancy chose a feminine suffix for herself as a title. what the hell she doesnt even really own her name. let her choose her pronouns. girl clancy you will always be famous to me...
shout out to the end "city walls" exchange i accidentally made that hella awkward ("thats not clancy up there anymore, hes out there somewhere") . which is why its a good thing this is just a headcanon .
in the original "take his ass to the timeloop" post "you" is bigender & the narrator flips between he & she to refer to "you." however i been exclusively she/her-ing clancy. i switch to he/him during SAI because i wanted to make a point about dema controlling everything about her. then back again to she/her when she gets out
i actually debated continuing to he/him clancy until she becomes a bishop, this time instead about how prophecy/expectations railroad people into one future. but hear me out : her pronounce? :)
it was kinda interesting to meeee how the person doing the taking of her ass to the loop changes from the bishops to the banditos ? herself ? at that point ? not sure what i am saying here.
colors
the yellow used (#FCE300) is from the trench ARG (they cant see yellow dot PNG) and the red (#E43C2F) is eyedropped from the 21 pilots breach logo
the yellows came in pretty strong during the trench era, then i phased them out for SAI. instead i used more and more red because im trying really hard to let you know that we with the bishops. i thought it was visually cool that clancys hair is the same color as the bishops.
i first drew nico in black as opposed to red because it would look silly otherwise (theres very little red at this point)
and clancy cant see yellow as a bishop ^_^
the panels
i only use panels with borders when the comic is in dema! :) they literally in walls... im making a punch of puns that are only funny to me . but! they are funny to me.
i do still follow it loosely even when theres no panels because composition
there are also the sections where things physically break out of panels
the yellow petals are supposed to reflect how theyre used in the "jumpsuit" music video as a break out ^_^ the petals (and flowers and torch light) cover up the timeloop stuff...
this panel was fun for ME. and this is MY post that no one is reading. hi! while clancy is out of the city shes about to get pulled back in -> hands reaching for her from behind -> ADDED BONUS of looking like wings. and also the shadows behind her are a panel. welcome back to dema!!!
i did entertain the idea of drawing torchbearer behind the panels during SAI . hes sneakin back there! however, my version of mspaint doesnt have layers and the contrast would be pretty poor
