Meddling with strange powers Runeard made his way back. He watched the Northuldra camp burn after sending the Fire Spirit into a haunted sprint. To trick the Spirit was harder than he anticipated, the little beast was difficult to fool, but he managed. The salamander was now affected by strange visions of a threatening man who would fill him with fear and anxiety.

Fear. Still the most powerful of all.

He was standing in the middle of the chaos, just waiting for his dear grandchild to arrive. A young girl was choking on smoke next to him, surrounded by the fire, she had nowhere to run. He took her hand and showed her a way out… and into a ring of higher flames. “Death is not so bad,” he told the teen, heartlessly, after leaving her on the trap “Maybe your Fifth Spirit might arrive in time to save you”.

This wasn’t like Bruni, he hadn’t been this out of control since Elsa had arrived in the forest. Riding Nokk as fast as she could, Elsa jumped off the water horse’s back and rushed into the burning village. freezing the flames where she could.

And then she heard a voice she never thought she’d hear outside of Ahtohallan. There was her grandfather leading a Northuldra girl into further danger.

“Get away from her!” Elsa barked, as she froze the flames that surrounded the girl. Guiding the girl away from her grandfather, Elsa whispered in her ear.

“Go, everyone is evacuating, go find your mother.” Glaring at her grandfather the entire time.

“Gerda,” Elsa said trying to smile for her old nursemaid’s sake. The closest thing she had to a mother since her own had been lost at sea a few years previous.

“How is everything, is Anna ready?”

“Don’t do this, I know what you’re doing“ the woman stated pretending to put something in place before turning to the young Queen, after years living running up and down, the nursemaid just couldn’t stand still for too long anymore “You don’t need to behave like that, you can be as miserable as you want so I can help you,“ she said in a funny tone, however, she was probably being serious.

“Your sister is more than ready, she actually made her way to the town as soon as the gates were opened. Can you believe this girl? Poor thing, I hope she’s having fun. I hope you have fun“.

“Why would I be miserable?” Elsa asked too hyper-aware of the other maids nearby. Elsa didn’t trust them, only Gerda, she had been there before the accident and had stayed with her after.

“It’s the day of my coronation.”

Gerda held her own hands together as she watched the young Queen give her orders to open the gates. She’d seen a little redhead running around the castle excited like a child during the holiday season, and despite that sighting warmed her heart, she couldn’t feel at ease. “Is there anything I can do for you, your Majesty?” the woman asked, looking tired from the sleepless night.
