after the pair get captured, and daisy is tortured, by nathaniel malick, who gives himself daisy’s powers. he promised daisy that they’d get out of there alive, we are going home agent johnson. you hear me? we’re going home.
after daisy gives him a piece of glass she managed to grab, daniel takes out the guards and carries a half dead daisy out and gets her back to the zephyr

he stayed in the alt timeline for a couple of years, working with what’s left of shield to rebuild. daniel reconnects with a now married peggy, telling her about his adventures with the team. she was instantly able to pick up on his feelings for daisy, sad that he had to say goodbye to her and a chance at happiness.
shield managed to recover a crashed chronicom ship, whose time drive was still intact. peggy, feeling bad for her friend, she ropes in howard to help find a way to get daniel to the other timeline. with a little help from hank pym they are able to piece together something for sousa to use to get over to the main ( our ) timeline.
