  “… less fun.”
“That’s what I thought. Bed. Now.”
iamnxtaqueen:
The words cut her like a blade would, how could such a woman say things like that. This put a smile on her face, poor Sigyn, she fell for the liar. What a pity. “Well, you should have known my father would never be satisfied with someone such as you. You see he has Galivants they burn fiery hot, then within an instant, they are gone. One like him can never truly love. It’s not in his nature.” A dark laugh escaped her lips “Oh I humbly take the compliment for, yes I am my father’s daughter. Though unlike him, I would never stoop so low as to bed someone like you. Besides do you not want to know about your children? Hm?” Hela had come in peace but now all kindness was gone, it was more of a mockery now.
“Do not speak of my sons! You’re not even fit to say their names!” Sigyn shouted, losing any semblance of control at the mocking. “They were everything you and your filthy brothers will never be! You think I haven’t heard these kinds of insults. I don’t give a damn where he dallies. Women like your mother don’t matter, they’re nothing. But he always comes back to me.”
lokakin:
He laughed again. “Yes! That sounds like fun!”Â
“And does not getting any sweets for a fortnight sound like fun?”
lokakin:
He smiled, a small laughed escaping him and he reached up to fix his messy hair. “But I’m not tired. Can’t I stay up a little while longer?”
“If I let you stay up and your brother finds out, he’ll start getting fussy,” Sigyn pointed out. “And then he’ll try to get your father to take his side and then the whole family feels like it’s at war. You don’t want that, do you?”

“One would think my own stepmother would welcome me, after all, I too have suffered. Though if you loved my father then you too must have been just as selfish.” Her voice was a slight hiss, did she not know that when they came to her they were not the same people they were when they were alive. “For those that pass come to me but not in a way you think. They are not who they once were.” Hela turned away from her stepmother “I can see that I am not welcome here, though it does not surprise me. But if you must know I came to see how you were. Suffering alone is not something one should endure. Believe me.” The goddess was trying to show some compassion.

“Don’t patronize me,” Sigyn commanded, and for a moment, there was no doubting her maternity whatsoever, Freya’s defiance radiated from her face, the warrior’s iron was in her her eyes.“You are undeniably your father’s daughter, there’s always some hidden motive behind what you do. No one could spend a life married to Loki Silvertongue and not learn to be wary. So what is it you want? A prophecy? A potion? Or simply to exacerbate the pain your existence causes me?”
lokakin:
“I couldn’t sleep. And I heard you talking… is everything alright?”
“Everything’s fine, Mamma’s just being a little overdramatic because your father’s off doing something reckless with Thor again,” Sigyn tousled her son’s hair lovingly. “Come on now, let’s get you back to bed. Little warriors need their rest to grow up big and strong.”
lokakin:
  “Doomed?”
“Narfi, what are you doing out of bed? Didn’t I tuck you and your brother in already?”
“I am sorry for your loss,” {Would you like to plot?}
“Apologies do not bring back what is lost. But then, most of what is lost comes to you, doesn’t it, stepdaughter?” Sigyn asked coolly, looking at her husband’s progeny with as little emotion as possible. There would always be a little sting that came from remembering that, despite her own famed constancy and devotion, Loki had not returned it. Angrboða’s children were living reminders of that.
“Why are you truly here?”
“This isn’t a prophecy, just a feeling— we’re all doomed.”
starbornhammer:
“Well you’ve caught me by surprise ——had I known we were going to be into more than shenanigans I would have better prepared.”
“From what I have heard, Thunderer, preparation is your brother’s strong suit, not yours.”
“I didn’t take you for the rebel type.”
“I do my best to give people as little of an impression about me as possible,” she replied bluntly. “I do not matter to them, and I prefer it that way.”

Were he to have met her outside of this Colosseum he would have believed she was a woman of noble birth, with such beauty and poise. “Three sisters,” he whistles softly, “How admirable.” Loki leans himself against a pillar and smiles. “You don’t have plans after the event tonight, do you?”
“That depends on the condition our current champion leaves his opponents in,” she answers, fidgeting with a strand of her hair as she looked at him, unexpectedly nervous. “He is... not gentle.”
She needed to get to work, lest her employer be displeased, but something about the new patron made her want to stay.
thebasestsentimentality:
“Sigyn…it is a pleasure to meet you.” He catches himself staring as he presses his lips to her fingers. “No, no I’m not a contender. My b—associate will be participating in the area tonight.” He notes the bag, a familiar sight on Asgard when weary warriors return home from battle. “You’re a healer?”
“I have the touch, yes,” she answered, her blue eyes locking with his green ones. “I have four sisters in need of dowries— three, if you take out the one who wishes a warrior’s life, but it’s still no small thing. And the Grandmaster pays me well to keep his fighters healthy.”

My Wife, @offidelity.
“You are absolutely breathtaking. Tell me, what is your name?”
“Sigyn, my lord.” Her eyes traveled up and down him for a moment, as she adjusted her healer’s kit.
“You are not one of the men who fight in the arena.”
“I am not sulking,” he’s sulking.Â
“Brooding, then. Are you done?”
