Being a good person is a choice I make every day, leading with integrity, kindness, and respect for the people around me. Taking care of others, showing up when it matters, and doing the right thing even when it’s hard has shaped who I am and how I move through the world we are currently inhabiting.

That said, there are moments when you have to be ruthless in your focus and a lion in your conviction. Standing your ground, protecting what you’ve built, and making hard decisions is part of growth. The key is doing it ethically, never losing your values, never cutting corners, and always being able to look in the mirror proud of your choices.

Success has a way of finding those who move with both heart and strength. I’m grateful for everyone who stood by me, challenged me, and molded me into who I am today. Every lesson, every ounce of support, and every tough conversation helped shape this path, and I carry that with pride as I fly above the clouds these days.

You and I chatted for a bit last night. Every time I see the name I put for you on my phone, my stomach drops and my heart rate increases. It kills me seeing how far you have fallen. The girl who had everything in front of her had happiness in her heart, and now sits in a home she feels unloved in, misunderstood, and mentally beaten down for just being who she is at her core.

I wanted to tell you this, I wanted you to know I see the brightness that was you has dimmed so much, but I know it's still there, just needs the right place, the right circumstances, and the right support. The littlest things in the world like just getting your hair done, you said it's been almost a year since you did that, I know its not my place to do it anymore, but yes I wanted to tell you just go fucking do it, I know how it makes you feel and unfortunately how rare it probably is these days since a smile is on that face that I would take care of it like I always did. Money is easy to come by; happiness is not. This morning, the hurt is gone for now, but there will come a day when all of this pain that feels endless, the nights that feel endless, I tried to fix it, I tried to take the pain away from you. Maybe one day you will be able to say it too... the hurt is gone for now.

What was once our fav place ended up being my favorite place. I think about her every time I come back but I don’t let the memory ruin what is an amazing escape.

Have you ever thought that remembering the little things about someone that mattered most back then are now the things that hurt the most when you think about them? Remembering their favorite song when they are upset, how they looked in the passenger seat as they got lost in that song and sang at the top of their lungs. What about how they would look at your dog as she lay in their lap, and they no longer get that feeling of home?

How they would only get a certain drink on a certain day of the year to commemorate the death of their best friend, and you understood, as horrendous as that drink tastes, why they drink it and why you would join them so they didn't feel alone?

Those are the memories that suck.
