"Commander Cullen!" She greeted, a slight squeak of shock out of the sudden appearance of the military leader. "How can I assist you today?"

Cullen had not anticipated that the healer had been nestled away in the infirmary at that hour--in fact, he had taken special care to make sure that she would not be there--while everyone else was throwing back their dinners and evening ales.

"I had come to browse," Cullen decided upon, finally. It wasn't a lie. His intention had been to quietly come and see if she had anything that would aid him in his self-induced trials. Lies were better swallowed with a bit of truth, like a disgustingly potent medicine was easier to stomach with sugar to hide the tang.
