Winter was a brilliant time of year for varying reasons, Nejire loving it for the festivities and general joy the time of year brought those around them. It also meant that she could stick to Tamaki more without the complaints of it being too much, the shared body heat making it much more bearable to be out in the near-freezing weather. Hearing the occasional, “You’re gonna give me a heart attack,” was mumbled or whine of protest quietly escaping lips, azure hues glanced up into his own. “Ne, Maki, we’re heading home. Stop whining, love.” A few pet names always flustered the male and usually resulted in compliance on his part. The few bags the duo had acquired while completing Christmas shopping swung slightly in gloved fingers as the sound of snow crunching underfoot lead them to their shared apartment.

Trudging up the recently shoveled steps, getting out of the frosty air was an appealing idea. Curling up on the couch under heavy comforters, watching whatever cheesy holiday movie was on. The blue-haired woman was sure even Tamaki could get behind that. Layers were discarded and left hung up to dry, a warm feeling spreading throughout Nejire’s chest as she watched her boyfriend shake off the cold, realizing that this was her life now.

Floating upwards just enough so lips could meet his own, the male’s ears instantly flushed red. “Ne-Nejire !!! What was that for ???” His fingers on his lips, a normal reaction, even after all these years.

“Just because I love you, silly. Let’s go get warm!”

At the first rumble, a sleepy yawn left the blond's lips. It wasn’t supposed to storm tonight ??? It was only a matter of time before the indigo haired male almost knocked Mirio backward from the force. “Tama, you’re okay. Promise.” Strong arms came up to wrap around the shaking frame in a comforting manner. It was normal practice, the loud noise never failed to have the other in his bed, not that it bothered him. Sleepily pawing around for the T.V remote, the lithe frame was shifted to face the screen as Mirio laid back down. Arm still secured around Tamaki’s waist, making him the little spoon in his time of panic seemed to help him calm down. Pulling up the extensive list of Disney movies that had been compiled, the playlist was started with the volume just high enough to distract from the storm outside. “I got you ‘Maki. Always.” another sleepy yawn left the muscular male. "Just, relax.”

    He sighs as he throws the paper he was grading back down onto the table in front of him, pen clattering to the side. He feels the telltale signs of a headache coming on, fingers already rubbing the sides of his forehead to try and keep it at bay. Even if he wasn’t an English teacher, Chuuya had enough knowledge about the subject from college and his own time reading to help Remmy grade some essays.

     “ Seriously, this is only the third paper and I already want to quit. Can’t you just fail them all so we can do something else ? ”

Sighing, fingers quickly tugged the papers away from the auburn haired male. "They're thirteen and fourteen, Chu. Not everyone can be a child genius." Teasing words were accompanied by a soft smile, peering at him from over the slipping frames of her reading glasses. The fact he was taking the time to help her try to get through the mass of essays was an incredibly sweet gesture. Although, glancing down at the words scribbled in giant red letters, she was going to need a lot more white-out to correct this mess.

"Let me get two more done and we'll go do something else. Thank you for helping, I'll finish the rest later. Sound good?" Sometimes, it was easier to barter with the male than trying anything else.

"Also, I'm not failing anyone. They're learning and deserve a safe place for that. For someone to believe in them. Everyone needs that, don't you think?"

She doesn't understand why everyone's so excited about the Valentine's Day dance. Then again, the deaf girl had never been to a dance. No one ever really thought to invite her to such things.
