What she lost in a RANGE ADVANTAGE , she gained in practicality , yet engaging in some form of CLOSE COMBAT with their zombie enemies was certainly more TAXING on her stamina than that of Mr Kennedy . His concern was touching , yet in this world , where it was DOG EAT DOG , she couldn’t help that feeling even a little VULNERABLE could get you killed at any moment , and Gwendolyn rather enjoyed being alive too much to let something as stupid as DEATH end her journey now . ❝ THE PERKS OF being Scandinavian , I’m afraid . “  I’m looking for a man,   ”    she states plainly, though careful to leave her fingers upon the hilt of her blade.     “   I’m told he lives here.  I’m surprised I was able to walk in here… I figured the Shadow Knight of RIngford would have been protection than… Well, perhaps you’re the first I’ve seen who has proper form while holding a weapon.   ”

THE MERE MENTION OF HER HUSBAND made her grip her lance even tighter . Oswald had SUFFERED ENOUGH , having nearly been KILLED by the dragon of the apocalypse , Leventhan , and was resting in their chambers . Gwendolyn didn’t expect anyone to be looking for him now of all times , yet that didn’t mean she wasn’t PREPARED TO FIGHT , even without her armour . They had fought against the odds to live in PEACE , and that was exactly what Gwendolyn was prepared to DIE to protect .  ❝ THAT MAN IS my husband and he will be going nowhere .     a woman of the blade , much like herself .  sophitia had heard the stories as her journey brought her far from the comforts of home, of other lands that were defended not by only men but by women , fierce combantants who fought proudly , valiantly , so very unlike the maidens of whom she had grown up with , expected to marry , expected to give birth and to rear and to obey .  it is a curious sight , a daunting one as well ; whereas her sister’s strength may lie in the unabashed courage , the ever demure and mature sophitia relies on the wisdom of truth .  she knows not of ragnanival or of odin .  what she does know is that she is a stranger in a new land … and she must conduct herself accordingly .

ATHENS ? SHE HAD NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A NATION , yet judging by the most REGAL appearance of the female warrior , Gwendolyn could assume she was quite IMPORTANT back home . She could RESPECT a woman who , like her , had chosen to FIGHT for both her country and also her pride . The mention of her quest intrigued her greatly -- Gwendolyn too was on a quest of sorts , both to gain the APPROVAL of her father , King Odin , but to also break free of his grasp and become her own woman . Pursuing the Vanir , and the Queen of the Faeries for the ring Titrel , was her answer to such a calling .  ❝ A QUEST ? What exactly might this quest entail ? ❞
