CHECKMATE. sorry i’ve been so quiet even with my hiatus announcement. Things of been crazy to say the least. I just caught up with the new chapter but don’t really have the time / energy to put my thoughts on it into words.

Overtime low activity / hiatus notice

I’ve mentioned it a few times on this blog and on others but I decided I need to put up an official notice.

The project I’m on is really ramping up and we seem to be getting overtime practically every weekday / weekend. Which is great for me considering all the financial issues i’ve been going through lately - so I’m taking any opportunity at overtime I can take. But it does make me tired or just unmotivated to rp after I get home so I figured this is a good time to take a bit of a break.

As some of my followers know this year has been…particularly rough for me - especially the last month or so. So I probably just need to step away and let myself focus on my work and some other hobbies for a bit. Not that tumblr is the cause of my stress, but I am a bit of a workaholic and while i don’t consider rp a job, I do try to please everyone and always be active / posting ic things a lot so I think I just need to step away and remind myself that I don’t have to do that.

At the very least i’m using this time to take things slow. I’ll likely be lurking if I am bored at work or at home, but I’m not going to force myself to be active and reply to stuff. I’ll reply to what I want, when I want, and while that might annoy some people it just be like that sometimes. 

The last two months have not been kind to me, and I haven’t really allowed myself to rest except for like, once. I really need to focus on myself and my mental and physical state because repeat after me everyone: self care is not selfish. Take care of yourselves. 

I’ll probably be wayyyy more active on discord and I kind of want to get into rping there on a semi normal basis. So mutuals are free to ask for my discord! I’ll check in a few times to give it out if people want it but I don’t do drops so you have to ask.

He’s human, is Noe’s first thought. So unmistakably so. Which is why Noe had approached him to begin with. It doesn’t dawn on him that this is a bad thing until moments later and his face starts to lose color.

This could end very badly. Noe sucks in a breath and takes a few quick strides to the other. “Well there’s a great place over here for sightseeing!!” He quickly states, perhaps a little louder than he should, grabbing the strangers wrist and pulling him along. He wasn’t good at the lying thing, not like Vanitas. But he had to get this human out of sight and quick! It must have been pure luck that the vampires around hadn’t noticed him yet.

He pulls the brunette off to a side street, quickly looking around before finally letting go of his white knuckled grip on the young man’s wrist.

“Sorry about that but - how did you get here? Which vampire brought you?”  Noe asked, visibly concerned - perhaps even a little shaken. He wasn’t going to let another vampire outburst happen like it had when Vanitas was attacked by Veronica at the ball. 

“It’s not safe to wander the streets of Altus alone, especially as a human! We need to get you back to Paris, or to whoever brought you here.”
