in the canon that i run for this blog, ashe is no longer a deadlock leader, the gang has left the gorge and it is solely ashe and bob there. but it's also a grim place. the rest of the gang robbed whatever was left around of value, and they essentially dipped with anything and everything that could've kept ashe and bob afloat. aside from food, alcohol, and a minimal amount of supplies for repairs? the place is basically a ghost town. the saloon is busted up, but the main place that ashe stays at. bob often bartending and the jukebox frequently playing some johnny cash songs to drown her sorrows in. it's basically just ashe. all the time in that place, self-pity and self-destruction. the place is pretty wrecked after the prior gang members looted the place so imagine a lot of sand, broken glass, and empty bottles. the broken chairs, and tables are more of ashe's own handy work. letting aggression run wild some nights. the wounds are very fresh. and it isn't unless someone decides to move in, or gets picked up that ashe allows herself and bob to start cleaning up. mostly because? it's hard emotionally. it's admitting that the deadlock gang is dead and buried, never coming back together. it's hard for ashe to clean the place up because she misses everyone. she hurts. not only that but seeing as how they left because of her failure at leadership (allowing cass to make off with their loot, and still be living after betraying the gang) it's all a lot of bad vibes for ashe. and every time she tries to clean up without the help of another person to get her through the emotional rollercoaster of it all? she feels safer in the mess of it. so in canon, if your muse is first coming to the gorge or beginning to get to know ashe and bob . . . yeah it's a rocky start, and they're in a pretty rock bottom-y place.
