the hiss in the other’s voice makes rabastan want to roll his eyes, a feeling he’d been getting all too familiar with as of late around alecto. so regardless of the tensive atmosphere already beginning to brew up between the two, he allows himself the pleasure of going through with a half-roll, the male only stopping himself in order to speak. “ forget it, ” he replied sharply, cursing himself for thinking their conversation would go anywhere but to a frustrated place. “ i don’t need you acting like you’re doing me any favours. not anymore. ”

ZAYN MALIK. / did you hear the news about RABASTAN LESTRANGE ( cismale & he/him) ? rumor has it that they’re a PUREBLOOD that’s in their SEVENTH year, making them EIGHTEEN. for being a SLYTHERIN they’re pretty FERVID & METICULOUS, but don’t forget about them being CUTTHROAT & IMPERIOUS. together, those traits make them THE PUPPETEER. i heard that PUSH + PULL by JULY TALK perfectly describes them. ( dueling club, boxing, beater for the quidditch team)
ok so when i was looking through rabastan’s harry potter wikia page, one of the biggest things that stood out to me was that it said that the name rabastan kind of derives from the arabic phrase “ rās al-Thu `bān ” , which means “ head of the serpent ” and honestly ? it kind of sums him up
he’s pretty much your typical, proud as shit, slytherin pure-blood as you would expect. he’s insanely fixated on the idea that the pure blood line is the best, an idea instilled in his family’s veins for generations, so he’s not any different. he can be a pretty ruthless guy, cutting right down to the chase, and constantly trying to seem on top of things.
i imagine him to have always kinda been in then shadow of his brother rodolphus, which lowkey kinda irritates him sometimes because he wants to be the best and to be on top and to show his family that he can be just as great as rodolphus . . . but when it really comes down to it, he’s honestly just not as brave as his brother and he kind of always succumbs to rodolphus ! he’s kind of just an echo of his brother at times, no matter how hard he tries to separate from him . . he always finds himself following his brother’s lead.
but i think something that really sets him apart from his brother is how meticulous and clever he can be . . . like he’s a nerd for the details tbh and he never does anything without planning and organizing it all first. that’s why he succeeds so much in school too because he’s honestly a really smart wizard.
( i always kind of pictured rodolphus taking advantage of rabastan’s brain and intelligence because of how attached rabastan is to him . . . how easily he just does what rodolphus tells him to do . . . although obviously this would be discussed if a rodolphus were to ever come into the rp )
however, other than school, he doesn’t really use his intelligence for good. he’s truthfully a huge manipulator, always silently and cleverly weaving his way into issues and lowkey making them go his way. he’s quiet in the sense that he’s careful and calculated when it comes to his plans and plots, and this is why he’s so smart.
he’s a pretty passionate guy most of the time . . . i mean you gotta be if you put as much effort as he does in the shit he manipulates . . . although he’s mainly passionate in all the wrong things and for all the wrong reasons tbh . . . as you would expect from a slytherin ig !
rabastan can be an awful guy at times but i mean, not with people he respects i guess and not when he’s caught being cowardly . . . like it really shows his true character when he’s sucking up to his brother and when he’s not acting all controlling and ruthless.
anYWAY other than that, he loves clubs and sports that are physical because y’know gotta let out that repressed anger, so yeah catch him dueling, boxing, and playing quidditch as a beater !
BOOBOO STEWART. / did you hear the news about SIRIUS BLACK ( cismale & he/him) ? rumor has it that they’re a PUREBLOOD that’s in their SEVENTH year, making them EIGHTEEN. for being a GRIFFINDOR they’re pretty GALLANT & WITTY, but don’t forget about them being MISCHIEVOUS & BRASH. together, those traits make them THE INSURGENT. i heard that KNOCKING AT THE DOOR by ARKELLS perfectly describes them. ( animagus, charms club )
alrightie so imma be playing sirius pretty similar to the canon sirius in the sense that he’s a really reckless body, pretty rebellious, always testing the system and never really abiding by the rules if he can help himself tbh .
he’s never really been one to follow the set path, which can definitely be seen in the way he kinda rejects his family’s pureblood lineage and the prejudices that come with being a pureblood ! especially since he was put into griffindor and his family is usually placed in slytherin . . . he just doesn’t agree with the whole stigma that anything but pureblood is bad
another similarity i’ll be keeping in line with the og sirius is how he’s been able to become an animagus since 15, so he’s able to turn himself into a big black dog !
anyway, sirius is highkey actually a really skilled wizard, although he may not exactly flaunt it like rabastan does or really act like the smartest kid around given his reckless nature but in actuality, he’s brighter than he realizes. and his professors see that and constantly tell him and push him to be really great, but he’s not really the most enthusiastic when it comes to school haha !
so yeah, since he’s not always the most enthusiast about school and often gets himself into trouble, you can kinda guess sirius doesn’t really have the most school spirit . . . like he’s a pretty independent, free-spirited guy so societies and clubs aren’t really his thing . . unless he’s with his friends of course.
but charms club is an exception ! . . . kinda
he kind of reluctantly goes even though he lowkey really enjoys it. . . he was kind of pushed and persuaded to join the charms club by his charms professor who, like many other professors at hogwarts, think sirius should take advantage of his potential and skill. so yEah you’ll see him there pouting but don’t be fooled, he’s enjoying himself
oKAY another big thing that is worth mentioning about sirius is his LOYALTY ! like although he’s very mischievous and reckless, he’s insanely devoted to his friends and he’s got an extremely loyal heart. i think that’s what mainly branches him away from the rest of his family tbh, like sure a lot of his family is loyal to the whole pureblood idea, but sirius’ loyalty is different and more of a wholesome kind in the sense that he’s sympathetic and wouldn’t stab his friends in the back !
