It’s a cycle. I get that.

But as someone who is starting to break out of their own cycle this has left me feeling a little defeated.

Like… I thought we’d see some positive change of some kind at least but… nothing changed. Yes they’ll try again but for us that story is over.

And the way Torch just accepted defeat so easily. We went from “I will it give up on him” to this…

It just feels weird to me that this is the way they decided to leave it

can you imagine how tragic it is to be the torchbearer. you find clancy. you do everything you can to help him, love him, lead him to the place where he can finally free himself and everyone else. only to see him become the very thing he was fighting against. and for that to happen again and again and again.

to see your friend relapse and relapse and relapse and all you can do is keep being there for them.
