Cold - Posted on February 23, 2017
Hello. As most of you are aware of, I will be in Sweden for a while. JENZiiH and Tias will remain in Tokyo and will keep track of it.
You might be wondering why I’m here? Well, maybe I’ll tell you.. But not yet.
Since coming back to Sweden, something I’ve noticed is how I’ve gotten used to the Japanese climate. I’ve heard that it takes the body about half a year to adjust to a new climate. That seems about right.
As a northerner, I should be accustomed to a cold and raw climate, and should not freeze in temperatures above freezing. But I do now. In Tokyo, I think 10 degrees is seriously cold. In Sundsvall we call that summer. I’ve become sensitive, actually.
So, after being in Tokyo for half a year and returning to a -28 degree Sundsvall, it feels a bit like I would die, I must say. But I, of course, did not. There’s still a little bit of northern Sweden left in me!
Now my body is getting used to the Swedish climate, slowly but surely. As of now, I am in Stockholm where it isn’t as terrible as it is in the north. Although, I’m still freezing indoors. That is simply something I can take, though.
Don’t forget to dress warmly and drink a lot of hot chocolate! Hold on for a little while, my friends - the heat will start again soon. Albeit, for a little while, that is.
