Some outtakes from yesterday’s photo shoot for my Silent Hill skin. Btw if anyone’s curious-- the blood pattern on her clothes is just a rusted metal pattern recolored w/ white and red, I think you could probably use a marble pattern too. :)

This Costume makeup includes thumbnails, is all-ages and comes in a just eyes, or teeth + eyes version. The eyes are recolorable, note that the scelera (white of the eye) is the same channel as the teeth. For a milky look, keep the pupil light and the iris darker. The textures come from various Silent Hills and a little of my own painting. I didn’t include a screenshot of these on a toddler/child, but it’s a very interesting look... :)

OH CHIBLETS - SILENT HILL SKIN

For this merry Simblreen I present, the Silent Hill skin for T-E! This skin was cobbled together out of a million different textures from Silent Hills 2-4, as well as my own as-yet unreleased skin. There are a few subtle seams, but hopefully nothing too annoying. If you make a very pale Sim, they may look a bit green in CAS, but in game they will be fine. It shows up as a reddish dot in the selection window.

This skin works for Teens through Elders, but if anyone wants a version for babies/kids let me know as I started work on it but didn’t get around to finishing. This is my first skin so let me know if there is anything I can do to improve. Thanks for all your support for my previous CC. :) If you use this skin, I’d love to see it in action, tag oh chiblets or send me a link!

EYE DETAIL MAKEUP FOR CHILDREN AND TODDLERS

I was tired with the lack of detail on kid’s faces, so I created some makeup. I tried to make this work for Sims of different colors, so it may look a bit extreme on light-skinned Sims until you lower the opacity. Particularly the eyebags, which on full blast will make your baby look like it hasn’t slept for three weeks.

ADJUSTING MAKEUP

(All of this applies to a lot of makeup by other people too) If you use a makeup on a dark skinned sim, and it shows up as a blotch of white people color, try darkening the color, and usually increasing the saturation a bit. (More toward the outside of the circle.) Sometimes it will lose too much detail, but for my makeup I tried to account for that.

The mapping on the faces for kids/toddlers is totally jacked, so it may not work for all sims. If you don’t mind tweaking the face of your sim, you can make some slider adjustments to make them work better.

* If the lower eye makeup stretches down the cheek, try raising the cheekbone.

* If there is a gap between the makeup and the actual lower lid, (See fourth picture.) --Try lowering the lower eyelid slightly. You may also try the reverse if the makeup shows too thin.

On my makeup, for light skinned sims, be sure to lower the opacity a bit or it will look kind of extreme. (Last picture is about 50% opacity.)

Thanks for all your support of my last mod! I was pleasantly surprised with the great response. To celebrate my actual birthday (Today, awwyea), I did a little update to add a carrot/spice cake, and to make Non replacement versions.

An important note about them-- you can buy them all in catalog, they're still edible, and the files can go in your packages folder. The catch-- the slices that come out of them are whatever your default cake is. So they’ll still work well for photos and for parties with more than one cake, but it might look a little funny as your sims yank out slices of vanilla from your carrot cake, just FYI.

BIRTHDAY PARTY REPLACEMENTS

It’s my birthday this week, so I thought it was time to release these default replacements I’ve been working on. I play a legacy, so I get really tired of seeing these ugly cakes and party favors, so I made a simple replacement. I wanted something that wouldn’t stand out so much, and fit in with the other food in the game. These are still super small textures, so they are a little blurry but I think they look a lot less fugly, and won’t bog your game down.

Cake comes in three flavors - pink with funfetti, plain vanilla and red velvet. Favors come in pink and red to match the cakes, and black for anyone too goth to do anything else. Choose only one of each, and place in your overrides folder!

Let me know if you have any suggestions, or requests for other colors/flavors. I might do more in the future because it was pretty fun. I tried to make chocolate but I couldn’t get it to look good, with these strange white seams on the model, so if anyone has any idea about that, let me know.

BABY BOTTLE OF BLOOD FOR VAMPIRE BABIES

It really bugged me that vampire babies still drink that glowing green weirdness that the regular babies do, so I made a replacement. This just changes the color of the blood, so they don’t get a blood meter or anything.

IMPORTANT NOTE!!!!!!

This changes the color of ALL baby bottles until you take the mod out. So don’t get creeped out about carnivorous human babies while this mod is installed! If anyone knows how to make this work for just vampire babies, let me know and I will update.

Will conflict with that mod that changes the green bottle to white, FYI.

AND BONUS LOLLIPOP REPLACEMENT

I thought the lollipop you get when you ‘steal candy’ was totally hideous, so I did a quick replacement. The texture size is really small so it’s just a bit blurry but I think it looks a lot better.

My game wasn’t generating any sexy people because I didn’t know what I was doing at the time, so I made a roommate for the siblings, and quelle surprise, he hit it off with one of them. Blake was happy to finally have someone he could beat at chess, and they went on a date to sit in an empty church, looking terrified. Blake changed the subject to his favorite stuffed animal friend and that seemed to lighten the mood.

(Btw I was using this Silent Hill world: http://evinfilms.blogspot.com/2011/03/silent-hill-city.html I absolutely love it, and wish it didn’t destroy my sad little computer.)

Since a lot of people liked my last Miss Fuchi post, I gave her a makeover, and made her son Binzo! The very first thing that happened in game, was Binzo scared his mom. Then, she got her revenge.

After that, I decided to have a go at making Tomie and the first thing she did was... scare Miss Fuchi. How appropriate. Well, they all ended up getting along in the end!
