I learned this morning that life is too short to be taken for granted. Material things surround us but sometimes taking a step back to look around you at the bigger picture is the best thing you can do for yourself. Although a series of events happened this morning to make me late for work it gave me time to sit and talk with my uber driver. By the end of the hour ride to midtown he thanked me, that he was going through some issues of his own and that our discussion put things into perspective for him. Sometimes things happen for a reason and for that I'm grateful for everything I have.
