My fave thing about Sundays at the ballpark are the portraits they have the kids draw.

My fourth trip to Citi field this year and my third time seeing Freddy Peralta I think our cycles are syncing.
I was at Citi Field for the day game yesterday and you’ll never guess who I saw again.
EVEN WHEN HE’S NOT PITCHING HE’S STILL HERE
Also I’m on my way to the game right now, ready to show AJ Ewing some love. My husband and I saw him at spring training and he was so much fun!
Recently I’ve been singing Carson Benge’s name to the tune of Gloria.
B-E-N-G-E Benge! Carrrrrrson Benge! B-E-N-G-E Benge! Carrrrrrson Benge!
The must-have hat of the season was free and vaguely bisexual
My husband and I are off to our first Cyclones game of the year today and I just know there’s gonna be a debate about who gets to wear The Hat (we could only get one last year despite me being the person who booked the outing!).

Apparently the Mets are 3-0 when it’s Bark in the Park let’s take this season to the dogs!

Luke Weaver framed by the flames of baseball hell finally releasing the Mets from a 12 game losing streak tonight lfg he even creates a W
I couldn’t get a Hello Kitty souvenir cup last year so I made my own and I keep sewing tools in it.
(I host a make and mend at my local bar now where we fix everything, maybe even the Mets.)
I’m no tarot expert but I like to mess around. I pulled some cards tonight and asked “How ‘bout dem Mets?” and got this:
Past: Seven of Wands
Present: inverted Two of Swords
Future: Two of Wands
The Mets have been seen as the second team in New York but folks respect them when they are true to themselves. When the Mets embrace character, personality, even whimsy, they can bring a city together.
At the moment, there is a lot of noise about them. What are management doing, who are these guys, why don’t their plays match their numbers? This is a team that not only needs to settle into a new season but basically a new team and staff. They should concentrate on mental health and their fundies to find baseball peace.
That they’re lost now does not mean they will stay lost. If they try new, bold things, there’s no reason why they can’t find success. Turning the team over is one thing, but now it’s time to buckle down and not get intimidated by that.
In short, my husband asked “Does this mean I have to watch Bichette at shortstop for three weeks?” and basically the answer is that he might surprise you.
My husband just asked two questions, “What’s the vibe,” then “What should the vibe be?”
Once again, we draw an inverted swords card, this time the Six of Swords, to describe what’s going on now. The Mets are in their own heads! Change is scary but they can’t let that fear win.
The Three of Pentacles is about teamwork and collaboration, something that successful Mets sides are known for. And if sport movies have taught me anything, embracing these new relationships are going to be key.

I really feel like if all the Mets took this off day to like go ride a rollercoaster as a team and like laugh and have fun it could fix things like go play mini golf or something guys do a coming of age montage trying to knock a bottle off a shelf so you can give a big stuffed animal to Francisco Alvarez while carnival lights twinkle in soft focus and come back ready to hit
My husband’s exact words were “they need Ted Lasso.” In lieu of that I will instead provide this picture of the English men’s soccer team participating in sport therapy.
I don’t remember who’s who but it’s from the 2018 World Cup.
mets are galaxy braining so we don’t have to face diaz by just letting the starters pitch the entire game
Been cycling through five difference games which means limited live-blogging but: where were you when Jared young became the best mets player of all time apparently
My brother’s name is Jared and I remember texting home last year when he hit a home run one afternoon, not that my family quite know what to do with the information.
Send this to some loudmouth in your life
I know none of you here need to fill this out ❤️
speaking of Francisco Lindor, he’s changed his secondary walk up song to Ben E. King’s ‘Stand By Me’. I used to love singing this song at Melbourne Victory games, and when I lived in Melbourne they won a lot. I feel good about this!
