Heres some of what i got from last night at the calgary stampede:)
Cadence scrambled to duck around a corner, trying to lose the tail that had been following them not so subtly for the last four blocks. Being as tall and lanky as they were though was not making this an easy task. Anxiety coursing through their thoughts... Can't go back can't go back... (okdancecadence)
The problem with being observant is there’s no downtime, even when you’re enjoying a cup of tea at a cafe. Like the couple behind her quietly arguing about his wandering eye, the disrespected waitress that spit in the customers coffee, or the rather pale dude hiding in an alley while the obvious agent was closing in. It didn’t take her long to place a $20 on the table to pay her check and walk over.
“Tommy!” She yells at the agent, catching his attention as she crosses the street to meet him. “Tommy, honey…” No one saw the slap coming, least of all the tail as the blacksmith directed him to turn his back to the blond. “You really thought you could fuck my sister and get away with it!?…”

“Not that i can think of at any rate.” They’d get something to eat later when they were helping out in the kitchen. For now they were still too high strung to think about it.
“You’ll be happy to know that the third floor isn’t used by normal clients, so you won’t have to worry about anyone seeing you. And don’t worry about tonight if you don’t want to work, settle in. Rest, you look like you’ve been through the wringer.” Phi smiled, leading the way out of the elevator and pulling out the key to one of the room, opening the door for Cade to walk through.
“I feel like it. Not gonna lie. I’m thinking i might have to move on again. Which sucks.” They followed her into the room, not exactly mistrustful of her personally. Just hypervigilant at the moment.
The room is set up like a suite complete with a kitchenette. The bedroom was separate from the main space and the windows were covered with a mesh curtain. “Well, until you do, stay here as long as you like. But fair warning, I do have some customers that come here for the same reason as you, just keep any noise down.” Phi hands over the card. letting him know that’s the only way he could get on the third floor with the other elevators before heading to the door. “I’ll leave you to it. My number’s by the phone if you need me.”
Cadence nodded, taking the key and slipping it into a pocket. They closed the door behind her before going and flopping face first onto the bed.

(Fawkes): hour or so. Traffic blah blah. Had a tail for a bit, need to lay low.
They turned on the van, the radio programmed to an off station and emitting an even static white noise to undercut the sounds of the city as they pulled into traffic heading for Serenity.
[txt;fire dancer]: Take your time, come in through the back and we’ll take care of you.
Phi finishes her workout and starts the process of opening Serenity, setting up a room out of the way for Cade when they make it in.
Cadence does not like asking for help. But they also knew when to suck up their pride. The musician parked their van in a nearby parking structure, taking the back stairs and nerves on full alert as they headed toward the relative safety of Serenity’s walls.
Phi waits for Cade in the docking area wearing a white lace dress, black heels, and a black leather jacket. The gates are unlocked and slightly open for the musician as the Madame keeps a keen eye open.
The blond brunet colorful musician ducked through the opening, looking over their shoulder as they closed it behind them with a click.
“… Hey.”
“Welcome back, love. Come on in.” She waits for them to join her on the dock, leading them inside. “You could’ve brought your ride in too, we would’ve been able to hide it for you.” They move through the kitchen to the service elevators, Phi hitting the button for the third floor.
“It’s nearby. I’m not worried about it.” It’s stolen technically anyway but shhh we don’t mention that. They follow Phi into the elevator, visibly relaxing their shoulders one the doors closed.
She notices their reaction after the doors close, holding in her smile. In the business she was actually in, it was more unusual to find someone you know you can trust. “I didn’t get a chance to ask before, but is there anything you need while you’re here?”
