Polished and rejetted ready to get back on
So badly!!!
Giving the littlest booker a trip around the parking lot
I've got to get to work on those rearsets
IRC Group Ride around Hedo 171 mile on the day (and one sore rider)
It's been a little while since I uploaded pix. Lots of stuff done (lots more still to do). New parts: mufflers, rear suspension, clubman bars, bar-end mirrors, master cylinder, signals, tail-light and chain. With the carbs cleaned shes running like a top. Hopefully I'll have the front end cleaned up this weekend and the front brakes fixed. Then...SHAKEDOWN RIDE!
Body and paint finally done! I'm no Picasso, but not to bad!
Mock-up of seat and tank
Almost a shame to paint it!
Almost a shame to paint it!
Rear wheel polished...next up the front
With the seat off to the welder for finish welding. The bike gets naked and the frame gets sanded down and shot with gunmetal gray metallic.
Seat tacked together, frame chopped, bars inverted! Starting to look cafe (I know she's rough, but I'm pretty pleased with is so far, especially for doing this on an open back porch with very little tools. Hinges and lock work and the back filler is shaped. A little grinding and shaping this weekend and hopefully all the final welding will get done next week.
Now I need to start tacking it together
Taking Shape
Sandblasted
OK, so the plan is to use the front half of the stock seat pan in order to keep the hinges and maintain the ability to access the battery. So next step will be sand blasting cutting and welding. Looks like I earn my frequent flyer miles at Fosters auto skills center.
