âł brun - what are some affectionate words / expressions of affection you give to sinuk? đđ
Mercasor excerpts because somebody has to promo it đ One of the first "nice" things Brun says to Sinuk:
âIf you train that eye of yours, and keep that hand steadyâmake every shot countâyouâd have no equal this side of Scaiuq.â
Itâs a curious thing. With no indication that it had ever gone, Sinukâs bravado returns. She grins widely at Brun. âExcept you.â
Brun bites down the inexplicable urge to smile.
Much later in their relationship:
âWas that true, what you said? About your scars.â Brun thumbs Sinuk's knuckles in a way that she hopes is comforting.
Sinuk finally looks down at her. But when she meets Brun's eyes, she doesnât truly see them.
âI don't really want to talk about it right now,â She says. Her voice is devoid of humor. No theatrics, no one-liners, not even a defensive joke for a time like this--there's nothing there at all. Brun doesn't know what to do with that. She's sitting in the woman's lap and, for the first time, she feels like she's an ocean away from her.
Brun bites her lip. She doesn't want Sinuk to be alone, over there, so she straightens out her spine and fills in the space between the woman's stomach and her back. Despite their awkward seating arrangement, the warmth of her body is comforting. Sinuk rests her chin in the nook between Brun's neck and shoulder. âThere must be a tactical advantage to this, too,â Brun thinks, bittersweetly. Sheâs the optimal height for a headrest.
At least Sinuk seems appreciative of that. Brun is relieved. She squeezes her hand, and says âIf you need me to take over...â
Sinuk lets out a loud snort, the force of her laugh physically pushing Brun forward in her seat. âWoah, there, tiger. That's a little cocky of you, don't you think?â
Brun scoffs, but there's no heart in it. The laughter in Sinuk's voice is soothing. Brun lets go of her hands, and says âI learned from the best.â
âAnd you,â Sinuk plants a messy kiss into her shoulder, âHave got a lot to learn.â
