guys i have fomo but i’m on a shifting break, so have me reminisce on my journey (yes ik that obsessing over this won’t help me on my break but thinking about successful shifts might—let me pretend to be on a break, ok?).
ratings based on how at home i felt and hm i enjoyed them (and as you can see, found family is my favorite thing). that being said, ratings based on my intrusive thoughts and how i remember the shifts, i also could’ve missed a dr… i only remembered my gilmore girls shift bc my sister asked about it the other day.
i didn’t get detailed on what happened in the shifts because this is more of why i rated them this way and not on what happened. i do write a lot without saying much, so apologies.
2000s fame dr - 10/10
this is my absolute favorite one. it was one of my first desired realities and the only script from back then that i still use (i started shifting in march 2021 and first scripted it around october/november. i successfully shifted there for the first time in 2023).
it was the first place i ever shifted to and it’s genuinely home to me. the first time i went there it was 2002, and the last time i shifted there it was around june 2006. sometimes i even go back to 2002 and relieve some stuff bc it’s that good.
i like this one so much more than my other fame dr and i honestly think it’s just the vibe. it’s all found family, cheap ass dinner parties and getting drunk to celebrate a friend getting a call back. and lots of beer.
i miss this reality the most.
fame dr - 5/10
this one only exists because i made a the walking dead script, realized it’d traumatize me and decided to shift there so i could play my oc in the show.
i’m just not attached to this reality anymore. everything felt kind of shallow. i never built connections the way i did in my 2000s fame dr, where i genuinely feel like my friends would do anything for me.
maybe i just wasn’t in a great place mentally in my cr the times i shifted there, i never really vibed with it. i’ve been meaning to rewrite the script for ages, i just haven’t stopped being lazy.
i did hook up with ross lynch once though, so i’ll give it a few extra points for that.
before anyone says “just script that you feel at home and love the reality, blah blah blah” i don’t really make my dr self different from my cr self. i love my personality and sometimes it just doesn’t fit with a dr. i build my dr around me, not the other way around.
victorious dr - 3/10
boring. annoying. repetitive. hated it so much omg.
everyone annoyed me, things were weird and i didn’t like it.
sometimes it’s more fun to watch a show than to live in it.
also tori can suck me. idc.
waiting rooms - 10/10
literally nothing bad to say here.
i have a few different waiting rooms and i love every single one of them. they’re basically just me and my dogs existing in pretty places around the world. one of them exists for the sole purpose of going to the beach, eating ice cream and watching the sunset.
ncis dr - 8/10
ultimate found family imo. i did see some things i’ll never unsee BUT it’s all worth it.
i love this one so much. it’s one of the few realities i feel so at home, i could just permashift to.
gilmore girls dr - 3/10
this one was weird because it was an accidental shift to the reboot and i didn’t stay there long.
i won’t say much because spoilers, but i arrived during one of the worst possible moments and was just there for emotional damage.
i still have hope my actual gilmore girls dr will be infinitely better.
the office dr - 6/10
i’ve only shifted there once and i loved it.
it was incredibly mundane, incredibly awkward and once in a while something ridiculous would happen (very expected from the office).
my only issue is that i think if i stayed there long enough i’d eventually start getting annoyed the same way i did in my victorious dr.
(that being said… i’m currently making a the office uk dr and i’m ridiculously excited about it.)
harry potter dr (golden trio era) - 3/10
not much to say. i gained consciousness and immediately realized i was getting railed.
this wasn’t even a scripted dr, it just happened ig.
i stayed for maybe a couple of minutes because i couldn’t ground myself and came back to my cr in shock.
0/10 if i had to rate me gaining consciousness.
vipassanā meditation = void state?
a few days prior to this day, i posted a small publication (this one), about a mysterious and somehow unknown to the loablr and voidblr community meditation technique called vipassanā and since some of you were curious about it, i wanted to make a proper post about this technique.
let's begin at the very beginning… what is vipassanā (or “to see things as they really are”)?
in short, vipassanā, whose literal meaning is "super-seeing," though it is more often translated as "insight" or "clear-seeing," is one of india's most ancient meditation techniques, rediscovered some 2500 years ago by gotama the buddha, carried and developed through the long course of history, then revived and globalized in the twentieth century into the form we know it today. to practice vipassanā is to move toward a deep mindfulness and acceptance, one that lets you see reality as it truly is and it asks nothing extraordinary of you, no special conditions, no complicated techniques, only your attention and a willingness to observe. and although the technique has buddhist roots, it can be practiced by people of all beliefs.
how does one perform vipassanā meditation?
i. find a quiet place, sit or lay down in a stable, comfortable position, in my opinion sitting in a lotus like position or lying in shavasana (“the corpse pose”) are the best of them, close your eyes and commit to the session for at least twenty minutes, ten is not quite enough i think.
ii. stay as still as you can and let small discomforts pass through you without moving.
iii. anchor your attention on your breathing, on its smaller portions, the nostrils, the lungs, finding the beginning, the middle and the end of each breath, visualizing the rise and fall of your abdomen.
!!! don't force silence upon yourself, thoughts will arise naturally, when your attention wanders, don't shame yourself, don't call it a failure, only notice that the distraction occurred, ah, i've drifted from my breath, then gently return awareness to it and the present, which is constantly changing !!!
a small tip for focus: count your breathing in your mind. inhale and repeat the number one for as long as the inhale lasts, exhale and count two for as long as the exhale lasts and so on.
and now, "focus on your breathing," "observe your thoughts," "ignore symptoms," "stay motionless," so on and so on…. isn't this an exact mirror of what everyone so often tell everyone to do in order to reach that tempting state of pure consciousness?! yes or no? come to your own conclusion with it, but i think it very much is and i use this as my main technique for getting into the void when i don't naturally wake there after falling asleep and kinda combine it with WBTB, yoga nidra and some of the void state techniques from ancient teachings that my dear friend @vanillebirkin shared in her lovely posts that inspired me to write this “essay” in the first place. love love love love you, helene!!!

in this strange and modern world, all things wicked and inherently evil came from hushed whispers in places where lies were told. the devil's touch was afault for your sin; being lead into temptation by the black goat, being led away from purity and grace: that's what they want you to believe.
blind to their own arrogance, to their own failure, that was the truth: blamed where women, the demons, and everything that seemed unnatural to the eyes of the church, instead of taking accountability of their own wrong deeds.
a woman's grace, cleverness, and talents were used to foil them: out of jealously from man, as they believed that women were no better than them, or out of bitterness the accusation would stem, in regards of a woman's affection. pilgrims, kings, or an ordinary butcher might accuse a woman for witchcraft for such reasons.
and thus, this had occurred one day at hallow's eve, where the devoted moon of lady selene shined bright in the night sky. an angry mob of puritan's surrounded a tree, with torches held in their sweaty hands as they gleefully watched the sight in front of them.
a witch was to be hanged.
a former friend, foe, apothecary: the only one capable of healing them from sickness apparently laid with the devil, and the puritans were bloodthirsty underneath the grip of starvation.
they deemed her a sinner, cut the strands of her fiery red hair, and treated her like filth.
the word whore left their mouths as they shamed her for falling into the devil's grasp. jealous men found satisfaction within her pain that she carefully hid behind a proudly raised chin. though jealousy remained, as she had chosen to lay with the devil instead of them: what made him suitable and not them?
the light of the moon illuminated all, as they readied the witch for hanging
“it is thy fault”, that is what they told the witch as they placed a rope 'round her neck: penitence for her sins, her soul shall burn in hell, they told her: “thy family need not die: yet thou has slept with the devil. a sinner is what thou art. pay, burn amongst the flames, may hell welcome thee with open arms like the sinner thou art”.
helen had been the witches name. eugenie had been her last: a tie to the royalty within the bavarian mountains that meant nothing to the small settlement in new england. helen, a name fit for a queen, had put shame onto helen of sparta's name with what other's deemed to be a sin?
was it sin to love? to be in love and be loved in return?
a question that embedded itself into helen’s thoughts, whilst she awaited her penitence at the hands of her uncle — responsible for the hanging that was bound to happen.
a question that haunted her, while she was to her execution. solemnly staring ahead, enjoying the breeze of the wind for the last time, whilst the fates loomed above her: readying themselves to cut her thread of life.
while helen was waiting for, what other deemed, justice to be brought she swore she saw the shadows of a reaper linger behind the tree: perhaps even one of the gods whose domain was death couldve been the figure standing by the trees.
helen, sweet, poor helen, watched those once closest to her make no attempt to stop the hanging from happening. her lip quivered in regard, perhaps with anger that faded into acknowledgment before letting it go.
the angry pilgrims watched her in return, raising their torches and weaponry in an attempt to intimidate the woman who they deemed a sinner.
they watched her, she watched them in return. insults poured from the puritans angry lips: “no child of god shan’t ever betray him so, o foul witch.”
sinner, whore, witch: a mantra of nicknames that repeated itself agaisnt and again. over and over again until it pounded in helen’s brain, echoing back to her.
it made her avert eyes from the angry mob: wishing to seek out the comfort of the man who swore his heart belonged to her.
where was he during this fateful moment? not present.
only a dull feeling, akin to a barely lit candle light, flickered at the thought of him. he would give those responsible their own punishment, that helen was sure of.
but when the rope tightened around her neck, lifting her into the nothing air, words left her lips; maybe even a silent plea for her beloved to hear her last cry.
helen uttered a promise.
that she one day will return in all her glory and punish the last living, breathing, descendants of the pilgrims responsible for her death.
“doth with mine death, shadows from the place you fear most shall walk amongst thee. wearing faces of thine kin: to confuse thee, tempt thee, kill thee. demons shall be living amongst all that’s considered holy. what art thou for hanging a woman who is but only in love? hear me, for I shall walk amongst thee one day again: for a fool, an unbeliever of mine arts, shall utter any word of what is mine, that is. thou art wretched souls, haven shall deny entry upon thy death. mark these words, o saints of the new land. misery is yours alone, one day he shall become aware of this coil and bring you. . .hell.”
where the last uttered words by the three eyed crow.
after her death, the name of hers had become forbidden to utter. even a whisper, shall be met with punishment, in regards to her unseemly passing. they feared that they will be the fools that wake her from her wicked grave and be responsible for helen to continue her misdeeds.
though only those who knew her truly knew she was not wicked, nor inherently immoral. it was a sin in itself for spreading rumors about her character, to only benifit and feed into the lies of her to make her death acceptable.
but what of the man that she loved? the man responsible of helen’s becoming of a witch? where had he been?
no one knows, but what is known: is upon his return, from wherever he had been, he was not met with his wife. that he left the settlement aflame, out of anger.
her soul was not found in hell, nor did her soul reside near the place of her hanging or that which she called her former home; she was gone.
yet a fool, as she predicted, had been unwise enough to utter words from what was hers: her book of shadows.
and it was that which drew hunters to look further into helen and the demon who bewitched her heart.
(Imagine here’s like a really, really, cool ass picture/moodboard edited by me and text alright, this goes deeper into my backstory)
(R me and az serving dracula and lisa tepes??? hell yeah we are!)
one to never embrace chaos and the twirlwind it brought: helen was a misfit within her very loud, very obnoxious, very german family.
helen was born into wealth: into splendor, riches, anything the ordinary person would dream of being apart of royalty seemed ideal to most, if you were ordinary. helen was always described as not. which placed the archduchess at an opposition by the expectations placed upon her.
one of the key characteristics in regard of helen: that she preferred her solitude, her silence. preferably her time was spent reading and drawing while the world around her continued on without her.
helen was , in opposition to her siblings, a shy, dreamt, affectionate child, more comfortable with the company of animals, and that of books, than that of other children. she had made habit of watching others: for she was incapable of recognizing faces she knew, so it was best for her to learn the habits of those surroundings her. helen, if not seen reading or drawing or avoiding the general presence of anyone who wasn’t her or her cats, could be seen hiding behind her uncle and aunt laverna if forced to interact with strangers. she had a good heart, too large for her own good, and possessed a keen interest in learning. law and medicine was of her highest regard, alongside the art of the ancient worlds. helen enjoyed learning about other mythology’s and the secrets which they beared.
one could never have guessed she’d be a witch one day, expect for her aunt laverna who was a witch as well. one could have never guessed that her uncle, one so close, would be the one hanging her.
alas, helen and her uncle, willem, had been fine friends when she was younger: as any fatherless man and parentless child would have been.
her parents, so rich and full of life, had gotten onto a ship one day: headed into the west, where a new horizon promised itself. but they never made it. leaving helen and her five younger siblings at the hands of the eugenie family.
willem was fondly remembered of his younger brother whenever he looked at the children he adopted. grief was a funny, sad, thing. but he realized with tremor, horror, that helen had the same interests as he once had.
and within the passing of her parents, a distant memory to her and her siblings one they could barely recall, they fell into the hands of their uncles and aunts: specifically those of willem and his wife, ingrid.
helen, maybe in her own way of dealing with grief, became more and more interest in law, herbs, and the wonders of medicine — though the only skill she lacked were in regard to math — by the age of twelve.
on rare occasion she found interest in regards of the occult and the craft of witches, one interest her aunt laverna indulged in.
for she, another red-haired member of the eugenie family, was a keen practitioner in the arts. a stranger to her own family, akin to helen, the two became close friends. though she did not teach young helen the arts that laverna knew, taught were the arts of painting and drawing.
laverna, an outcast within her family, married a man who knew the feeling as well: he went by the name of gabriel, one who was most often absent but undoubtedly loved laverna greatly.
it was with their help, their unconditional support, maybe even the slightest hint of willem’s aid, that helen enrolled into one of Italy’s top universities to continue her studies at the age of sixteen.
the older helen became, the more her siblings became unblinded by their former judgement of their elder sister, began to cling to her whilst she returned from her studies. a sight that laverna much cherished, one that willem grew to enjoy.
but only momentarily.
with helen bringing newfound fame to the wittelsbach family, even princes growing interested in her, willem grew jealous of his niece. watching her become more outspoken, yet maintaining her silent nature, and more headstrong: he watched her become stern and sometimes why, whilst she maintained her dreamt, and poetic nature. nothing could’ve swayed her to become bigger and angry: ‘cept for the mistreatment of animals, and much more. willem judged helen. always. whenever she’d bring a new animal into the premises of their home, he rolled his eyes. his jealously of her goodness, one that stemmed from her mother loralei, festered immensely.
and on helen’s eighteenth birthday a scandal occurred that caused a divorce and for willem and his adopted children to move over the sea that once claimed family.
in drunken fury, driven out of jealousy, willem cheated on his dearly beloved wife: because a man must always make it about himself, if the attention did not lay with him.
helen, who had enjoyed her splendorous day in the early days of july, had been blissfully unaware of what was to come: even if the feeling of her stomach, unsettling and deep, told her to worry, she did not listen. she stood with her aunts, uncles, and siblings — preferring the company of those closest to her — and wore the most elaborate gown befitting for a woman of her standing. hide she did, but helen presented herself like a magnolia in may as she stood with her family.
she listened to the sweet music the musicians made, humming along to the tune of the violins whose strings were tugged at, listened to the steps of nearby dancers ghosting over the floor, listened to the conversations surrounding her.
the smell of sweat hung in the air, masked by the many perfumes that clung to the skin of everyone.
it felt. . .oddly comforting. presumably only due to the music that kept helen calm, not growing overstimulated by the tremor of voices in the ballroom. her brow flickered, but only briefly, a mild showcase of her annoyance.
her peace, her cherished peace, was undisturbed: that was until tremor broke the mood, tremor was met by whispers, and whispers were met by prying glances aimed at helen and her family that remained unaware of what occurred.
it hurt her ears, so many whispers at once, and lead her to have a headache. arm wrapping more tightly around laverna’s arm. one hand that laid atop of her younger brother, moritz, head in an attempt to shield him.
at the sound of skirts rushing by, helen extended the hand that laid atop of moritz head and reached out. the sight of a familiar silhouette came into view, but the face. . .was that of her good friend, maria, as she came to realize. worry painted her face, the browns of her eyes mirroring concern and pity, whilst she regarded helen.
the whispers, ever so present as expected bt chattering at any social meeting, halted for a moment. silence. dead silence: uncomfortable and empty took ahold of the room like death’s grip upon a fading light. followed by only glances thrown at helen and maria.
it concerned her more than she’d like to admit. but a lady, a princess no less, was always to keep her best demeanor.
“what occurred, dearest friend?” helen had asked sweetly, concern lacing her voice like mist in the morning. her brow furrowed just so, the corners of her lips tugged down ever so slightly: the hints of her discomfort only revealed to those who knew her well.
at first she’d been met by silence. maria’s eyes darted around, unsure of it all, before leaning slightly forward.
“terrible things, néne. a man belonging to another woman was found in bed with a servant. can thou imagine howst the wife must feel?” a glance cast beside her, it went amiss to helen.
“whose the man?”
“oh, néne. . .mine heart cannot bear to tell thee. it was thine uncle whom hates thee so, willem.”
it was so quiet in the room that you could hear a needle drop.
helen felt paralyzed. fear, or whatever emotion close to it, gripped her throat and made it impossible to breathe. numbess washed over her like water hitting a shore, whilst her family guided her away, something she did not realize way later.
willem was met with tears, angry and hot, pouring from the cheeks of his lady-wife, penelope. he had also been met with angry yells from his brothers, a sound rather familiar to the ears of a german family.
helen stood with her cousins and aunts. watching the blurry figures of people through her tears.
and that had been the last time in her long life her birthday had ever been celebrated.
such a grand scandal, one that drove the wittelsbach family into shame, had been dealt with swiftly: outcast were willem and his very children.
even if laverna and gabriel fought hard for the children not to be cast out as well, their fight was to no avail. ignored where their pleas, their requests, for they were to blame for willem’s sin as one family member said. an older man whom helen did not like.
way was made to the americas in 1650, still the summer month reigned and they’d been cast out not even a week after helen’s birthday. tugged into a boat they were, where none on board knew of their status or what befell them.
which was for the better.
willem refused to act upon his fatherly duties, so the role fell onto helen as she was the oldest now. one such a duty overwhelmed her immensely, she scarcely spoke for the two following weeks.
four children, her siblings, in her care.
it was no desire of hers to be a mother. let alone to her siblings. yet here she was, on a boat, forced to act upon the role forced upon her. it was burdensome, tiresome, and exhausted her to no days end.
some mothers took to help helen: offering her aid in moments her voice failed her. she had never been so thankful. even referring to those women as: engel. angels.
her siblings were unaware of it all and simply thought they were going on a vacation: good riddance.
it was only after the fifth week on the ship they realized that it was no vacation. when the smell of the salty sea would become to strong after playing so long on deck, they’d retreat.
reinhard, four years younger than helen, often rested with her. both. . .more socially inept than the others. moritz, anna maria, and iphigenia played with the other children til sun down, while there was no sight won of willem. who spend more time charming women than anything.
but to the very surprise of helen herself: she found a friend. or multiple, if her brothers were included.
a young girl her age, by the name of ashley lachér. of somali and french descent, the sweetest and most kindest girl on board. she who shared interest akin to that of helen, they bonded over the potential plants they could plant on new soil. either bonded over the differences of their respective cultures, both eager to learn.
even if the teasing comments from ashley’s brothers annoyed either of them to no end. crouton, the most terrible tease of them all, was the worst — followed by shagford, or better known as shaggy, as either of them proved themselves to be keen tricksters.
may that have been a hint for their true nature.
ashley and her brothers sailed with their mother, as their father had already made his way to the america’s a year prior, they thought it fit to meet him. she, the youngest, always muttered word of true love.
the four of them grew close, and with their combined intelligence they became known in their small community as healers, doctors. earning them a great amount of respect and love, to the very dismay of willem.
time passed more quicker whenever helen spend time with the lachér’s. iphigenia and moritz always in her arms, as the siblings grew more closer.
it did not feel like ten weeks at sea, it rather felt like a four, when land untouched by the european grasp came into view. all cluttered together with excitement at the sight of land. word was uttered to treat those indigenous to the land with respect and fairness, as it was their land first.
the few weeks that followed had not been easy in regards to settling. houses were in need to be built, crops were in need to be planted and mouth were in need to be fed.
in order to solve that very problem a relationship was formed with wampanoag tribe. though they handled at a distance, not to infect them with disease.
the effort was much appreciated.
and they remained to have friendly relations in the future.
mouths were fed, knowledge exchanged, and soon crops were tethered and houses build by every hand available.
though when sickness began to sweep through the new-found village, the knowledge of helen and ashley came into good use. the two girls were quick to help using their cultural and acquired knowledge from helen’s studies and ashley’s somali heritage. they handled the issue within the matter of two weeks, thus the two girls grew more liked by the puritans.
willem festered with bitterness at the sight of his niece’s success, while the siblings were cheerful to see their socially awkward sister grow popular, though no attempt was made by his side. but he could not complain, since helen brought him the attention he wanted, even if it was momentarily.
within a few years, the society of fare-well hill had grown and flourished: unlike most other settlements, religion was not blended into politics and law, to the surprise of other settlements. though that did not mean religion wasn’t a small part in the society: it was, though it shouldn’t be blended with politics for the matter did not bode well together.
this fact had harmed the relationship with other colonies, not that they minded.
within a matter of years, they’ve became an acclaimed town known for its farming culture. healthy and without a plight, the crops were remained untouched by plague: which made their products be sought out for trading, though their crops were always given for free to the wampanoag tribe as a thank you for their aid years prior.
the wampanoag people had entrusted a few of the secrets of the creatures lurking in the shadows at night. at first most did not believe, but with the strangeness and unease of night they were willing to learn: finding themselves be watched by something.
and this revelation horrified helen a lot. even if she may have been twenty five now, the darkness and what lurked there, horrified her. causing her to share a bed with iphigenia: always hugging her younger sister tightly, unable to find sleep after the candle burned down.
though nothing ever walked onto the premises of their homes uninvited, but many swore they saw things linger outside of their homes for a moment too long.
all seemed well, besides that, in helen’s eyes. she focused much on her time on her duties as an apothecary and raising her siblings. she’d rather not focus on the growing jealously from her uncle, due to the fact she contributed to the society other than drinking. she, who gradually ignored the stares of men and boys alike, for she was not interested in them.
she did like them, though not in the romantic sense. their attention, devoted and borderline obsessive, bothered her.
reinhard, who became older, protected her from unwanted attention. he grew to be a tall and sturdy man, no one wanted to fight him.
helen liked to believe that her first love was her platonic feelings for ashley, or maybe her feelings for nature, either of that.

watching gravity falls and spn is an amazing experience. my sleep schedule is so fucked I’m just watching spn when I go to bed but can’t sleep and watch it til I am tired. lol. also doing research is so, SOOOOOOO, fun??? I love pulling a robert eggers. he’s my icon, the legend, the myth himself alright. slavery does not exist in my dr and native american’s are treated with a great amount of respect!!! its their country, not ours (settlers) and it should be treated as such. also Shakespearean English sucks, hate writing in it LMFAOOO — the grammar, goodbye im calling the doctor. Also I might add a few details in my actual post, because I am me. I am a yapper. I love my details that make my writing 50 times more longer<3 if you still want to add yourself to my dr here’s the link ;))
dunk makes a return as my brother, as reinhard. voila 10/10 sibling casting GN!

BRILLIANT WRITING I’M OBSESSED
things i've experienced thanks to shifting
i've stayed in beautiful hotels and villas all around the world, like la maison arabe in marrakesh, to name one
i've directed films starring my favourite actresses
i've eaten ridiculously delicious food. case in point
i've bought and worn every expensive/hard to acquire fashion item i've ever wanted. such as:
the lilac dress from the versace spring 2006 rtw collection. the one emmy rossum wore to the uk premire of the film poseidon — i wore it to prom
the black lace mini dress from the anna sui fall/winter 2007 rtw collection. the one that blair waldorf wore in the gossip girl pilot — i wore it for a party of my own. i also bought some of the same lingerie she wears throughout the show
i've attended concerts in the 80s / 90s / early 2000s
i've gone on various crusies. both as a child and as an adult. the disney cruise stands out as one of the most exciting ones i've been on; 8 year old me had a blast
branching off the last point; i've had wonderful childhoods that have healed something in me
i've owned a pony. her name is canelle. my grandparents brought her from the netherlands... or was it switzerland? i don't remember anymore lol, i was 9 when they gifted her to me. i've also owned horses in other drs but canelle holds a special place in my heart
i've been sort of an influencer (and then nuked that account at 300k because i didn't like being perceived anymore lol. i am private to my core in most realities)
i've pursued a lot of different career paths. film director, ballerina, professional chest player, creative director, graphic designer, photographer, traditional artist, seamstress, shopkeeper, microceleb, etc, etc, etc
i've lived freely/fully. without financial worries or fear of oppression/unfounded prejudice
