To the trans kids starting their name change: It’s hard. You will refer to yourself as your deadname. You might even forget your new name once or twice. You will hate that you still respond to your deadname, and you won’t be sure what to write down on the top of your school papers. Even when you leave your old name behind, you may find yourself in a weird gray area where both names are equally yours and equally not, and you’re not sure what to respond to. But please don’t worry. Because one night in a dream you will call yourself by the name you chose, and when you wake up you will realize that your subconscious has accepted this change, and that even in sleep you are who you want to be. A Quick Note About Introverts

Being an introvert doesn’t mean that you don’t like to socialize. and doesn’t mean that you don’t want attention. Sometimes, it just means that you have limits.

It means that you want to have fun at the zoo, and then go home and sleep for 13 hours.

It means you want to perform in the concert, but you’ll probably need a cup of hot chocolate and maybe a nice cuddle buddy afterward.

It means that a day with your friends is the best day ever, but one more hour and you might start crying.

Being an introvert doesn’t mean that you don’t like conversation; it just means that you have a smaller tank before you run out of energy. You have to refuel more often.

But it doesn’t mean that you don’t like attention. Not one bit.

Update: Someone commented saying it was in fact my first wife I had the “stay skinny pact” (not my Canadian ex)… makes sense why the memory is foggy, that was a very long time ago (like… 5+ years), if a skinny pact happened, ok. But like I said, people should stay healthy for each other. Eat a lot of food, just make sure it’s healthy food. That’s literally my stance… however I don’t enforce it on anyone but myself. I am only the boss of my own life, that’s it. It’s always wild when people are amazed by proper Ukulele playing because what they consider “good” is whatever mainlanders are attempting to play while asserting some “quirky” vibe. Ukulele has become trendy on the mainland and people are amazed by what we consider BASIC skills and boring same chord repetition over and over.
