my first animal crossing game was new leaf. mitzi came to my town and immediately she became my favorite. I’d smile at her cute little face every day! we were best friends!! I visited her on her birthday for her birthday party and I damn well nearly cried of joy and happiness for this cat-shaped friend made of pixels. after a while another game came out, so consequently I put animal crossing down for long while. feeling nostalgic I opened it again months later; she had moved away while I was gone.

i found her letter saying goodbye in my mailbox. i never opened the game again.
