Some of us during this lockdown... Sitting by the window... Longing for outside.
More animal portraits.
I'm trying to broaden my portfolio and do animal portraits.
One from a bunch of my earlier work that I'm fond of.
I haven't drawn anything in over two years. I felt hopeless trying to pick it up again. Since the release of BTS' Black Swan it's been on my mind, so I caved and did this to commemorate Jhope's birthday.
I think I was trying to convey that even when something seems beyond repair, if you have a little hope, that is a triumph in itself.
I drew this off a tutorial video on YouTube, titled "Realistic Island Drawing with Pencil and Charcoal - Guam" from the channel "NehartGallery".
I actually did this one a while back. I thought it was appropriate to put it up here, as a way to show my diversity/variety as an artist.
Sometimes a seemingly dark thing can really try to be light and beautiful, but instead bleed it’s darkness into everything it touches despite its intentions; even though it’s beauty is in its darkness. But this is art, everyone sees everything differently, so feel free to make of it what you will.
