LYALL
“get a good look. it’s not gonna happen often.“ he’s not really the type to be swayed by compliments– but hearing it from his mate makes something warm and proud settle in his chest. lyall rests his hands on jiang’s hips and tightens his hold. “i’m fine. i want to keep an eye on tiana. and you– you’re looking pretty enough to eat.”
he can’t help but grin at that, nodding. “i know. i don’t mind. i like your clothes more than the tux.” it’s the truth— jiang knows they both feel out of their element, looking forward to the end of the wedding so they can leave. just as he opens his mouth—- a familiar scent comes through the air, making him freeze, and his smile quickly drops. jiang’s whole frame grows rigid as he pulls back, face pulled tight as he’s thrown into a frenzy, looking around, chest heaving. “t- they’re here- h- how’s that possible ? i- know i know this scent, lyall — it’s- it’s from- back then.”
