teddy-antonov:
Teddy’s ale sloshed onto his hands as someone knocked into his shoulder. Thankfully, not too much spilled before he realized who the culprit was and the fact that she was apologizing now, “in a rush somewhere, Aalis?” A bit of sarcasm in his tone but he wasn’t upset and the small smile on his lips said as much. “You alright?” She looked frazzled and while he knew it was rude to comment on her appearance, he couldn’t help but ask, “you look pale…” and frazzled but they weren’t exactly close friends–– just close enough for him to feel comfortable pointing out the obvious.
The expression on her face was more of a grimace than anything else when she realised it was Teddy who she had bumped into. “No... well yes... I just needed a minute to breathe,” she told him as she finally felt her heart rate return to normal. Without answering his question, she snatched the ale from his hand, took a large swig before handing it back to him. “I’m... well for a second I thought I was going mad but I think I’m alright”.
