When I grow up I hope to do great things! This is my venue to speak up and out because for some time I have felt invisible, and unheard. I am a Black, twenty-one- year old, man. Currently, I am a student at Goucher College studying English with a concentration in creative writing. Writing is a freeing experience. Like a pigeon I am restricted here in America. I write because I hope to inspire. I write as a daily act of improvisation. I write because reflecting is good for the soul. I write to release the toxins that are sometimes held within. My writing is unapologetic and I do not write for the comfort of others. These pieces are mostly creative non-fiction, and maybe one day will be published in some fancy magazine, or journal, or anthology.
