Engineer of mortal design whom paints the grass at bare feet kissed by forgotten lore to echos of funeral cadence birds between cogs fingers prod pluck at oiled streams plying metal to almighty design a fabrication of life's true meaning caught between refraction and reflection dust embers dance through light pane cloaked in tatters atoms cascade in the pinpoint that turns all beyond upside down playing soft on bedroom walls an old god’s pale dead message

Nostalgia on my Senior exhibition and how crazy I get with installation. “I WANT THEM TO FLOAT” I said, purchasing aircraft cable in bulk and paying more for hardware than mounting. This show meant a lot to me and was a labor of love and a test of will. It started as something very different and after a moment of inspiration surrounded by my coven, I knew it had to be about the energy of that moment. I’ve always been dramatic with my art, and my theater geek comes to play with how I do my lighting. I’m only 23, but this is a damn fine start for me.
Below is my exhibition statement, if you want to see photos of the show I might post them soon. I want to get back to using this blog.

Growing up I learned of many religious and spiritual practices. My family was very open to exploration and it was at the age of 16 that I settled upon the spirituality that came with paganism. My goal is to show the world neo-paganism as I see it through my eyes. Witchcraft is not a visual process as movies might convince others of. It is a spiritual process, a labor of love that fills one’s world with positive energy.
I want to tell a story, to paint a scene with light and color and make viewers witness the magic that occurs on an emotional and spiritual level. I want to show the beauty that exists, rather than continue the stigma that has plagued witchcrafts for hundreds of years.
We are Kind. We Are Present. We are full of vibrancy.
