not to be boring and solve the fun mystery but it says that bc it’s a “chat” post, not a text post. which used to not include the OP’s username, so tumblr assigned you op I Guess (source: i made this post in 2014)
I kind of miss the impulsivity that certain spaces used to allow. oh you want a hair cut today? hairdresser in the corner can fit you in before her 2 o’clock. tattoo of a cobra… sure leg or arm? even concerts, back when you could go to the box office thirty mins before any show. not saying these things don’t exist at all, but everything feels booked five months in advance and 10x more expensive
In light of recent gaming events, I'll keep saying what I've been saying for years: Gaming Graphics peaked in the PS3/Xbox 360 era. Trying to make every AAA game look photorealistic is ruining the industry and the artistic expressions of games.
Games like Mass Effect, Skyrim, Fallout 3/New Vegas, The Last of Us, Uncharted, and all the popular games of that era had the perfect blend of grounded realism and artistic design to me. I don't want hyperealism or ultra high graphics and I'm so tired of it.
Every game looks the same now, is being made in the same crappy engine(UE5), and now we got an AI slop filter technology trying to make games look "real". I hate it here.
i knew a surgeon and he once told me “nobodys insides look like how the textbooks say they will. you never know what you’re going to find in there once you open them up” and that was easily the most ominous thing anyone’s ever said to me
when i was taking my first year anatomy lab, we’d occasionally find a cadaver where things would branch off or attach in the wrong order, and when we’d ask our prof about it, he’d just shrug and say “they must not have read the book”
In the past 10 years of teaching in an anatomy lab, I have seen:
- A donor with a scrotum the size of my head. When we opened it up, we discovered it was a MASSIVE inguinal hernia and a good 1.5 ft of intestine were trapped down there.
- A donor with situs inversus totalis, whose organs were a mirror image of what we normally see (ie their heart pointed right and their liver was on the left, just for starters)
- A donor whose right common carotid artery branched off the aorta waaay over on the left hand side of the body and crossed alllll the way back across the thorax to get where it needed to be.
- A donor with 4 lobes for their right lung (should only be 3). We named the 4th lobe the Lisa Loeb, but all of the students were too young to appreciate our sparkling wit.
- A shocking variety of penile and breast implants. Y'all would not believe the number of different ways science has come up to counteract gravity.
- A couple of cases of ectopic kidneys, where a kidney didn't rise to its typical position just deep to the lowest ribs and instead stayed in the pelvis.
There is probably some other stuff that I am forgetting. Take home point is: the human body is weird and wonderful and you should learn more about yours!
Yeah, I don't discover the anatomical weirdness but I've had clients come in with extra ribs, missing ribs, extra vertebra, accessory muscles (that's when you have duplicates - sometimes fine, sometimes not), bones connected where they shouldn't be (spoiler: if your lumbar spine is connected to your hip, it Causes Problems), all sorts of stuff. Bodies are weird!
This made me remember that I had a friend in high school who had one thumb that was like half an inch shorter than the other. Not sure how that happened.
hate to break this to you but if you call yourself self aware but you are only aware of your faults and never acknowledge your strengths you are not self aware. you have repackaged your self hatred
My attempt at doing a type assessment on Zephyr cause this shit's so fun and fascinating. Will update/post more and I am also working on one for Eury. That one's taking longer because their cognitive functions are less clear in the function stack imo, Zephyr's are pretty clear.
I think that has to do with Eury still figuring out their identity more than anything?
Some general thoughts
Zephyr's enneagram is 8w7 according to a test i did based on what I thought he would answer.... however I think there's possibly a mistype??? Strange as it sounds, as these two are pretty contradictory, I reckon he's either 1w2 or 8w7.
I am not so sure if Zephyr is overall a thinking or feeling type if we are typing by dichotomy. Feeling and thinking basically inform one's internal logic system so both are technically 'logical'. And what's MORE complicated is that (at least, I think I'm interpreting this correctly?) external functions (Te/Fe/Ne) are based on external objective information systems while internal functions (Ti/Fi/Ni) are based on internal subjective information systems. SO I CAN'T EVEN USE SUBJECTIVE/OBJECTIVE AS A MEASUREMENT.
So, I'm going to have to settle for him prioritising Thinking because even though he has very strong moral system (that's also based on his own values, not the values of society/the collective -- so probably Fi or Ti) he would agree with the phrase "the ends justify the means".
He gives ENTP vibes due to high Ne imo, but ENTP lacks the driving purpose of Ni and values of Fi. On the other hand, ENTJ possesses the driving purpose of Ni that supports their Te, but possesses inferior Fi. Which, when developed, can be utilised very well. But still, I think Zeph might lean Ne the way he gathers information and seeks possibilities?
In conclusion: possible types I’ve narrowed him down to are ENTJ, ENTP, INTJ, ISTP.
I will present an argument for each of the types. I've only done entj so far but will update it + work on the other types soon (busy with finals :'))
ENTJ
Dominant (Hero) Te
He defaults to pragmatism to solve problems. He cares about thoroughness over efficiency, but he is indeed a go-getter and wants to get everything done ASAP
Needs to be always on the move or he will stagnate and feel incredibly frustrated.
Unsure about whether he is a Ti or Te user – if a concept logically makes sense to him based on his own internal framework of facts and objectivity, he will believe it. Unlike Te, he doesn’t care about other peoples’ objective opinions – his frameworks are built on his own systems and understanding rather than the majority of external influences. He is more creative in thinking (Ti) than Te.
Auxiliary (Parent) Ni (Possibly Ne?)
He has strong morals and a driving purpose behind each of his actions; he likes to think he’s looking at the big picture. Indicative of intuitive rather than sensing type.
He strives to deeply understand a single topic and push his perspective rather than looking at it from many angles while not necessarily agreeing?
Zephyr has always been driven by ‘Why’ of things and can scarily predict future insights accurately. He is drawn to abstract possibilities and greater meaning of things in relation to the bigger picture; a good example of his Te-Ni being in full flourish is leading the Carnation Rebellion. He seeks to better the status quo through possibility (Ni) rather than sticking with what is tried and true (which would be aux Si, which an ESTJ wields)
Tertiary (Eternal Child) Se
When looking for stress relief he defaults to seeking sensory and external stimuli rather than settling down and feeling comfortable (Si) – for example duelling, fighting, swords, adventure, drinking in good company, etc.
Inferior (Shadow) Fi
The thing is he does experience strong emotions and knows how he feels but he tends to shove it down; prominent enough to be a weakness. Indicative of inferior Fi.
When well-developed, as an area of improvement, he uses personal values to fuel the bulldozer that is his dom Te.
I am certain about Fi being in his stack because he operates on his own internal values and subjective morality – even believing his subjective interpretation of morality IS everyone’s – rather than defining his values by a collective (Fe). He also doesn’t care about social harmony (Fe) and is more interested about his own feelings (Fi).
When in periods of prolonged stress he shuts down emotionally and doesn’t let any new feelings ‘in’ or ‘out’. He starts to mope and be unmotivated and fatigued. And then it culminates in an emotional outburst.
Classic Saigenos interactions I always love seeing, that are unique to their dynamic :’)
Because of the inherent nature of their dynamic, with Genos as Saitama’s self-proclaimed student, they typically interact in a balanced, healthy exchange of devoted, eager appreciation and spontaneous, nurturing guidance. As an active, assertive disciple to a passive, but natural master in domestic equilibrium. Atypically shifting the usual power scales of authority, where now both of them can interact on more equalized grounds. Such a unique dynamic allows for many ways they can show affection and intimacy as a pair, but some common favs that I’ve seen (even around in fics and art) that work specifically just for them include:
Saitama, the only person able to make Genos smile and soften his otherwise hardened exterior. And Genos, the only one able to make Saitama smile and feel content/loved on some of his hardest days.
Flustered egg, completely at a loss and out of his element knowing how to deal with such passionate and forward affections from Genos, after having lived emotionally numb for so many years. And Genos, slyly using his scanners to read exactly how much he affects Saitama and his quickening heartbeat.
Equally flustered toaster, who ‘glows’ orange-hot and steams even harder the more worked up he gets. Saitama easily astounds and impresses him with nearly everything he does, often taking him off-guard!
Personal heater borg, voluntarily using his body’s unique functions for Saitama’s comfort. It NEVER gets old! Saitama can safely handle any temperature Genos can emit, though Genos still irrationally worries he could burn him.
Saitama effortlessly hefting Genos’ 300kg frame as if he’s light as a feather. Genos strong enough to carry him with ease in return too.
Saitama with expert control over his strength, to not accidentally injure Genos. Genos assures him it’s fine if it happens anyway (maybe he even likes it), as he can be repaired. Saitama still worries about what could happen, and tends to be extra careful regardless. Saitama assures Genos he does not need to be gentle with him either, as he can physically take anything Genos does in reciprocation.
When they hug, Saitama often reaches up to cradle Genos’ head – the place that holds the only organic part of him left, because he likes to cherish and be close to ‘Genos’ too. A touching gesture that shows how much trust Genos has in him – to allow Saitama, a person with that much strength, to handle that part of him with such confidence. In return, Genos often embraces Saitama’s whole body, as though he just can’t get enough of him. Needy, desperate, and possessive.
Similarly, Saitama able to hold and caress Genos’ core directly, with his permission. Again, so much trust involved to handle such a delicate (literally and figuratively) object that constitutes Genos’ heart.
Saitama able to thread his fingers through Genos’ hair, a very self-indulgent act stemming from his bald complex; as it’s the first time in years he’s been able to touch hair again freely. Both of them are so terribly touch-starved; the gesture is just so mutually beneficial, comforting and soothing.
Likewise, Genos holding and stroking Saitama’s head, reassuring him of his insecurities – Genos loves his baldness and wouldn’t have him any other way. Saitama’s perfect just the way he is!
Saitama inspecting Genos’ hands or other intricate machinery because everything about him is such a complete marvel; he’s just absolutely entranced and wouldn’t have Genos any other way either. Easing any self-conscious doubts Genos may have had about his metal body. Genos in turn reciprocating that devotion and body worship, because Saitama (and his perfectly sculpted musculature) is like that of a god to him. That intimate interplay of metal and flesh!
