Whether nature or nurture, bigots have always found a way to suggest we shouldn’t exist. "We should be fixed" or "we should choose not to" or many varients of. The argument was always bullshit to me, because we have the right to exist whether it’s a choice or not. I know a lot of queer folks who are empowered by the narrative that they chose this to make their life better.

Not saying I believe it is “simply choice”, but to point out that i think the entire conversation is null and void because we inherantly have a right to exist. Engaging in the conversation always felt like I was being baited.
