Bristol photographed a young crewman of a US Navy “Dumbo” PBY rescue mission, manning his gun after having stripped naked and jumped into the water of Rabaul Harbor to rescue a badly burned Marine pilot. The Marine was shot down while bombing the Japanese-held fortress of Rabaul.

🤣🤣 When I used to be skinny shit was wack I prayed to be thick. My leggings bagged in the front like I had a dick, pants all needed belts, I’m also short so pants would drown me and leggings had to be rolled. Fashion is a skill and that doesn’t have anything to do with size. Maybe this isn’t what OP was walking about but I think it’s worth mentioning that it is A LOT easier to be fashionable when you are thin. If I want trendy clothes that don’t fit me like a sack of fuckin taters I have maaaaybe like 3 stores I can hit. There are some online options, but it’s really difficult to know how it’s going to fit.

The fatter you are, the less options you’ll have. If I were literally any heavier, I couldn’t even shop at the mall at all. I also will never be able to find inexpensive and cute clothes. It’s just harder and so much less accessible for fat folks.

I’m fully aware of this and I get it. I’m with y’all. But it’s not easy for ANYONE to shop. I’m 4’10. They don’t even carry size 5 shoes in any stores in the mall or barely online. It’s like I don’t exist. But I’m not gonna make a post and yell at everyone if they not with me on how hard it is to find pants that don’t touch the floor yo. Fashion in general is difficult. I have a bunch of plus sizes friends who have fashion instagrams and YouTube channels where they show you how to find amazing stuff. You just gotta work with what you got is all I’m saying.
