“I think so? That’s the one with no arms, right? The green lady?” Jesse held his arms behind his back, imitating the famous statue. He liked making Anna laugh, her smile lit up the room...even outside. “Kon-Tiki exhibition? I don’t think so. What was that about?” He asked, genuinely interested. He felt Anna’s excitement in his bones and it made him excited too, and he didn’t even know what they were excited about. But he was definitely along for the ride. Jesse was all about the adventure, and he had a feeling getting to know Anna was going to be a great one. “Are things super different here? I mean, I know we’re in the same continent and everything, but there’s gotta be something you had to get used to?”

“Jokes on you, I’ve already taken out two,” Jesse smirked as if he’d just won the argument. The people he’d run into were okay, anyway...it wasn’t like he killed anyone. “Fine! Fine...I knew I shouldn’t have brought up anything to mess with DWP.” He sighed dramatically, leaning back on the couch. It was simply an argument he’d never win with the other man. Riff was passionate about many things...especially this movie. “I’m sure if you met Anna, you’d get it.” Jesse raised an eyebrow, surprised Riff was being so stingy with the gossip. “Good? Amazing? That’s it? That’s all I get?”

      THE FEELING OF READING A SCRIPT  for the first time was one amber knew all too well ,  yet it never ceased to send chills down her spine .  it was nothing she hadn’t done before ,  but still ;  the blonde hadn’t secured the role just yet  &  until then ,  she knew better than to give less than all she had  &  then some more .

To supplement his income, Jesse had taken a job walking some rich woman’s tiny dog every day. The lady was a little kooky but nice, the dog was pretty easy and the money was great. Jesse was just in the middle of thinking of making this a side hustle when a familiar bob of sleek blonde hair came into view. Hers was a face he thought he’d never see again, and Jesse was kind of okay with that...but here she was. Amber Kwon. The girl who broke his heart. 

And the way she talked to him, still...it was like he was a toy she was playing with. “Hey, Amber.” He kept his voice steady, a weak smile spreading across his face. “Long time no see.” She still looked amazing, obviously...Daisy bark broke through his thoughts and allowed Jesse to see with a clearer head. “I didn’t think you were still in London.” He admitted, scratching the top of Daisy’s head. “Shh, you’re okay girl...”

“Oh, really? That’s awesome! I went there....four years ago?” Jesse cocked his head toward the sky as he tried to remember. It was a beautiful country, everyone there seemed so happy. Which explained Anna’s demeanor perfectly. “I walked all around Ekebergparken and to this day it’s one of the best places I’ve ever been too.” He sighed, grinning at the memory. He wasn’t much into art, but the sculpture garden had such a vast array it was easy to get lost in there for hours. “When was the last time you went back?”

“Well I can highly recommend Delos. It’s beautiful there.” Delia said with a grin. She loved travelling and part of her enjoyment of living in London was getting to meet people from all over. “The sea is amazing there.”

“Beach time? Hell yeah, sign me up.” Jesse agreed. Missing out on his big trip this summer, he was bummed to not be able to go to some sort of beach. It was his favorite summer activity, but it was worth it being in the same city as Winnie for the summer. “Where else have you been?”

jesse was one of eliza’s first friends when she started teaching.  especially being the same age and starting out around the same time, they had a lot in common and often liked to share ‘war stories’.  “not yet,” she replied with a small shrug and a smile.  “i have a bit more time but i don’t have to worry about my class.  i haven’t had to leave back a first grader yet.”  a laugh left her, tucking some hair behind her ear as she sipped from her glass.  “but i have the non profit so i’ll be working through the summer.”  it was her baby; all types of classes and programs for kids and families that couldn’t afford it, what more could eliza ask for?

“Oh yeah! I forgot about that! How is it all going?” Jesse leaned forward in genuine interest. He’d recommended Eliza’s program to a lot of his families, knowing that they would love to take advantage of the quality education they were offering in the summer. Some programs even provided lunch for the kids, which was an added bonus for the families who relied on school programs to help feed their children. “Seriously, Liz...the program is incredible. I can’t tell you how much it’s going to help.” Jesse smiled, super proud of his friend. “I’m actually sticking around London this summer, so if you need any help...”

。·:✧:· WINNIE COULDN’T HELP the laugh threatening to escape from her lips. he was right. there was no way she was fooling him, no matter how much she tried her best to defend her competitive and fiesty nature. “alright, alright. if you say so. i’ll still defend those fries until the end of time, but i’ll let you believe you know me,” she stated, winking, trying her best not to laugh too much. jesse was her best friend, the one that knew almost everything about her and in fact, he probably knew more about her than she even did. grinning, she turned to face him, grinning. “yeah? the kids will love you for that, you know. i’ll tell them it was you and you might get hug tackled on the second day of school.” raising her eyebrows, she chuckled, shaking her head. “your ban has been… who lifted it? who in the world?” winnie asked, trying her best not to laugh too much. the idea of a carnival was the best way to celebrate them being reunited. taking the bundle of tickets from him, winnie surveyed the area around her, looking for the best games from that spot. usually she could pick out a few. she skipped after him and pointed toward the right. “ i want to ride the ferris wheel! we can plan out our afternoon from up there. plus, it’s probably really pretty too!”

“Well, now I have to win that bear. Being hugged by kindergartners is...the best.” Jesse pointed out. Their little arms wrapped halfway around you and they squeezed as hard as they could, which wasn’t that hard at all. It was almost worth being a kindergarten teacher just for the hugs alone. But Jesse knew his place was with the older kids. “Well, I think they just sort of forgot? Look, the past is the past...I think we should keep it that way! I didn’t mean to hit the balloon clown, and that’s what’s important here. Which is, do you want me to win you the biggest damn teddy bear in that fair or are you gonna keep asking questions?” Jesse asked, walking in front of Winnie and turning to face her as he walked backwards with his hands raised. As she made her decision, Jesse offered a thoughtful nod of his head. “Ferris wheel sounds...perfect.” He agreed, letting Winnie take the lead. As he followed her through the thick crowd, Jesse couldn’t help but smile. It was shaping up to be the perfect night, at it wasn’t even dinner time yet. “I think a giant carnival pretzel should be put on our to-do list too!” He called out to Winnie as she found the line for the ferris wheel.
