people need to talk about this type of hack cuz i JUST fell for it and i had no idea it was one until they started asking for stuff that very obviously was to scam me.

your friend will get hacked and then message you saying they got scammed by an impersonator and they mass-reported your acct. they'll tell you to friend an acct to convince them it was an accident. they'll have you change you email and then try and get your other info. i thankfully caught it before i gave them my bank info. it took an hour to get my discord back, but that was cuz i didn't know where to go for support. took less than 15 minutes to get it back when i got the right link.

i am just making this post cuz i had NEVER heard of this scam before. i am so lucky i decided to check reddit to see if this was a new type of scam. it's not new tho :P

I just want to give a heads-up. I'm in the process of hopefully recovering the account, but my discord NaptimeNyx has currently been hacked with a label of SUSPENDED in the name. I was kicked out and am unable to regain access at this time. The person who hacked my account impersonated a staff member, threatened me with deleting it, along with trying to extort me for money at the time to regain access to the account. I am in contact with the Discord Support staff in hopes to regain entry as the email was changed along with my connected phone number being wiped from the account as I cannot login through the number. If you have received or do receive any DMs from me as of around 12 pm today and onward, unless stated otherwise: IT IS NOT ME, IT IS THE SCAMMER.

I'm still holding out hope I can regain my account, but i wish I knew of a way to contact Discord Support in a better way. The Twitter offers little help, the tickets keeps auto closing, and members marked with a staff badge aren't able to provide any aid as it's not their department. I'm told to sit back and trust that the Trust and Safety team will get back to my case. Yet each time I open a ticket with proof of my account ownership, it's soon left alone for a while before being marked as solved. I'm at my wits end. I'm on my 16th ticket and praying for some aid in the support department because oof, this makes it hard to want anything at all to do with Discord even when i get my account returned to me.

The Worst Birthday Ever!

So last night, I lost my Discord account. I got hacked. Someone I used to talk to messaged me saying they mass reported my account and I fell for it. Instead of looking for Support I went to the ticket stub given to me by said person and thus things quickly went downhill.

I was in panic mode. I suffer from GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder) and hearing something like my account and IP address would be banned of course I reached out for help. They had me put in their email and thus the damage was done. They took control. I couldn't delete my account because they enabled the 2-Step Authentication I should have done long ago.

I have reached out to Discord Support twice now. I'm praying and hoping for a miracle I can somehow get my account back and if not I hope Discord can just delete it. I just want this person to be stopped. The worst part is alot of friends texted me on different platforms letting me know I've been hacked. Talk about a repetitive stabbing effect.

Moral of the story is if something looks fishy and suspicious try to stay calm. Don't be a fucking idiot like me. I couldn't even celebrate my birthday because of what happened. I'm so depressed and anxious now.

For those of you that follow me on Discord, my main account, Sulli1361, got hacked. Let me just clarify a few things: 1. This is a scam. Discord will never message you on the platform. I have a ticket waiting to be examine, but no response yet.

2. I did not report anyone. I don't think it's possible for me to report anyone for fraud.

3. Any photo that you may see of me isn't real. It is doctored. Please don't share it around, just block and report me for impersonation.

I am so sorry about all of this happening, but I want to inform you all of it. Thank you so much, and I'll get back to writing here in my folkmore cabin soon.

There's someone on Discord stealing accounts and using them to further steal other account.

Don't fall for it. I did. They got some basic information out of me, and are using it to try to scam me further. They will ask you to contact support, it's a scam. They will send you exactly this message. The support will ask you to change your e-mail, real Discord support will never ask you to change your e-mail.

If someone messages you on Discord claiming they accidentally reported you, it’s a scam. You don’t need to pay anything either if asked to verify things. Just block the sender and don’t click anything your sent. People are actively falling for this very common scam on a daily basis.

Steam also has the exact same scam format.

I got scammed on Discord.

It's apparently been something happening for a while, a "false report" scam. Some scamming bastard messages you to let you know they "accidentally" false reported you, tell you this other account can help.

They were lying from the start, they just want your information.

Got my whole account taken from me, my sort code, and account number known by my scammer, might even know my email address.

Recently, after I've cancelled my card and ordered a new replacement and made extra protection to my personal email,

Another mutual I've known for ages got scammed by whatever waste of cells has my account, he lost over 400 bucks this time. As if losing his account was enough.

Two stolen accounts on social media are more than enough thievery, so I'm not gonna bother trying to get my old account back. "Saint Helix/helxwither" as a Discord account needs to go. There's no going back from something like that.

If they haven't changed the pfp, it's a Weavile digitally made by myself. Report it if you can.

And especially to my mutuals and followers that have me friended there, kick it out of any server and report it.
