Why is sexual assault so brushed under the rug? Speaking from experience my own mother knows I was abused and she still communicates with my abusers as if she didn’t know when she does. That is damaging, humiliating & discouraging for your own mother to throw it in your face that she just doesn’t give a fuck! I will be 30 this year and I’ll be damned if I let my abuser continue to cause havoc in my life. Sometimes you just have to pick yourself up and know you are worth it even if those who claim to love you don’t see it!
